Amazing spot. Just steps from Staycation apartments, but walkable from the Castle area. Liz rocked the service, and food was amazing. Ask the regulars if you can have a seat and i guarantee the conversation wont disappoint.

This is possibly the best breakfast I have ever had! The food is of great quality, the service is excellent, and the prices are really good. A must-visit if you are in Edinburgh. It's a small cafe, but it's a great place. I will definitely be returning!

Popped in this morning for a quick breakfast, we ordered the pancakes with maple and bacon, I definitely recommend! They are absolutely amazing, the best Pancakes my boyfriend and I have ever had. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food comes very fast as well as the drinks. 10/10 food, service, definitely come here!!! Visualizza piatti

My group of three stumbled upon Fountain Cafe after reading good reviews on TripAdvisor. We ordered the Scottish breakfast, salmon and eggs, and pancakes with scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious, including the pancakes which I didn't get a picture of. The staff, all ladies, were very friendly. The cafe is small but cozy, and although we had to wait a bit for a table, it was well worth it. There are two outdoor tables, but it was too cold to dine outside. I highly recommend this cafe and would definitely return if I find myself in Edinburgh again.

We decided to visit this restaurant based on the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. When we arrived shortly after opening, the cafe was already busy. We managed to secure the last small table on the right side near the entrance after a short wait. Unfortunately, the frequent opening of the door made it quite cold inside. We ordered breakfast for two, which took over 30 minutes to arrive. While the breakfast was okay, we felt it was overpriced. We had equally good breakfasts at our hotel in the city center for a much lower cost. The staff at the café was dressed very casually in gray sweatpants, which was a bit surprising.

Saw the reviews and as the cafe was only a few minutes from where we were staying we decided to check it out for breakfast. It’s a small cafe but there is a real buzz. On our first visit they were super busy but quickly cleared a table for us that had the remains of a large party of builders breakfast on it, and while we were there lots of regulars came in which we took as a good sign. The large window table looked to be the local men’s meeting place on a Friday morning and there were some already tucking into their food who were soon joined by others who were greeted as old friends by the staff.
