"Had a lovely family meal one Friday evening. It was a special occasion so we all had the tasting menu each dish was varied and refined you need plenty of time as there 8 courses it takes about 3 hours to work through! I met Mr and Mrs Todiwalla who were very friendly and made us very welcome. As it was a hot night, we sat outside with a nice view of the docklands flats reflecting their lights into the mirror like water. It was only a short distance from the City airport runway which may not appeal to some but my son loves planes so he was in his element."

"Paid for 16 oz of beef patty, received 12 oz (365 grams) a big discrepancy and when you consider that 16 oz vs 12 oz costs £4 more you would expect to receive exactly that. When I contacted the owner, he advised that all weights advertised are pre-cooking, and so a 16 oz burger is in fact 12 oz, a 8 oz 4 oz and so on. If I were the owner and valued the integrity of my business, I would add extra meat to account for the shrinkage, or add a disclaimer on delivery sites to inform customers of the same otherwise you are misrepresenting an item. Another piece of advice to the owner is not to dismiss a customers concerns by using the premise ‘I’ve got a reputable business and don’t receive complaints of this nature’ thus trivialising their concern. Treat each concern individually and with a helpful attitude. As for the burger, the patties contained too much flour (which is typically used as a binding agent, just less) making them very rubbery and without flavour, which left much to be desired."

"This family-owned Chinese restaurant is the best for miles. I have been ordering from them for years and have never been disappointed with the food. The option to get the curry hotter adds a lovely kick to the already delicious flavors. The honey ribs are amazing and I highly recommend the fish in black bean sauce. The chunky and generous portion of chips are also a hit. Although prices have increased since lockdown, the food still offers great value for money. The restaurant itself is small and intimate, with super friendly staff. I haven't dined in for a while, but I always enjoy my meals from this place."

"very nice, fairly large, covered area outside, with huge sunshades to protect against the summer sun or more likely the English rain. and there are sometimes delicious bbq (boiled with beautiful veggie options separately on film) on Saturday and Sunday afternoon early evening. check them beforehand. great views at sunset over the roding where you can see the wrecks or the old barges and try to cross the river with the two small bridges that you can see in the far away. frequent changing cocktails and mocktails, filled and now beer and stout, weine and beautiful fruity apple wines to preserve their interest. Veggie-friendly and one or two vegan dishes, overflow on the top. Fabulous, humid, German cheesecake with mandarin orange and other fruits or maybe even on a Dutch apple pie or one of their other great cakes. pandemic, which may be on bank holiday on Friday and Saturday evenings you can enjoy your effortlessly cool djs on the decks or hear some great musicians. entry is always free and with the DJs bands playing on the right band, they can enjoy the music and still chat without screaming. other paintings, owners music lovers derrick, plays a tasteful, eclectic choice of classic soul, radio, rare nut, ratpack jazz thru a top of the series in-house bose sound system. and finally there are the cocktails. oh, these cocktails! will we risk a mojito or tonight with another whisky sour to keep together? derrick, the chef, learned his trade with cocktails in some of the most swiss cocktailbars of copenhagen. now it is in sunny barking. it is the only bar/café in the city that really makes effort to impress and host the diners and drinks preferences of their mozens."

"we could only get a reservation in cash on Saturday night, and so was a bit hesitant to eat here. we decided to go anyway, as we were close, and are so glad we made it! eating was fantastic some of the best hand made pasta that I have ever eaten and the service at the bar was excellent. we are so glad that we have tried this restaurant and will definitely eat again when we visit the future. Thank you!"
