"Location Peiting in the Voralpenlang and here in the middle of the village is the old Pension Zum Dragoner. Ambience A huge hotel complex with numerous rooms, mares, a beer garden and the Xaver Bar Lounge above the street. All rooms are equipped with solid wood. Both the ceiling plate and the wall cladding. The chairs are heavy and thick padded. A hotel style from a good old time. We go to the comfortable chairs. The tables are covered with creamy tablecloths and colourful table runners. Blümchen are on the tables in champagne flutes. We feel comfortable, lean back and let everything come to us. Service The service is very careful. She won't let us out of sight all night. It is constantly questioned and it is very concerned about our well-being. The ordered house plate (7.50€) had the following on the plate: beer ham, cooked ham, bacon, beer sausage, beer ham, tomato quarters, vinegar, quartered egg, smoked cheese, edamer, butter with 2 slices of bread and a bun. The sausage and ham are beautiful in taste, cheese and butter of good quality. The record could easily convince me. It was enough to get tired. The overall salmon with roast and cream horse for 7,50€ was also very good in taste. The salmon were not too thin and the Röstis were nicely baked. Conclusion: Worth a recommendation"

Couldnt fault the restaurant. Good food, well prepared, large portions and a good choice. Recommend the Venison Ragout, the Wiener Schnitzel and Muller Thurgau,

I went with an entire hockey team, and the food we got was hot and tasted good for a small town like Peiting. Most players on my team also thought the steaks were good.

had hoped more during this visit. there were more frequent eating as we made a holiday in the whistling. I didn't taste two main dishes, but the third was excellent. can steaks and fondue there are the peculiarities.

During the stay at the hotel, we had dinner twice in the hotel restaurant. One reason for this was the easiness and secondly, there are not too many options in the village of Peiting. The service is quite efficient and polite. The menu consists of small dishes and regular-sized dishes. There are typical Bavarian/German/Central European dishes, e.g. schnitzels, but there are also more exotic meats available, e.g. crocodile and kangaroo.

I found this restaurant through TripAdvisor and am very grateful. It is a beautiful restaurant decorated with wooden panelling in the Bavarian style. The menu is varied, catering for vegetarians and with a good choice of local freshwater fish and wild game. It is all well cooked and you don't have to wait. Service was expert and friendly. Overall a pleasant experience for a vegetarian travelling alone. I was sorry I didn't know it is also a hotel earlier, as I would have happily stayed there.

The food was excelent and the staff sufficiant! I was happy to see a good selections of different kinds of food and an english menu. With a husband that is allerigc to many things this was a nice suprise! And it was really suprising to see the massive amount off selection in regarding both meats, fish and vegeterian. My parents are meat eaters and found the steaks juice and tender, whilst myself found the vegeterian dishes very good! If you are in Peiting then stop here, and enjoy good food and a great atmosphere ☺️

"The food is good. I had a pasta with aubergine, and my friend had a pizza, and we enjoyed the meals. We are both ovo-vegetarian and they satisfied our dietary requirement. However, we both asked for water to drink and we both got huge glasses of carbonated drink. It tasted so revolting, I don't think it was water. We then had to look up the word for tap water in German (their English wasn't very good, which is fair enough), which we then asked for. What seemed like an age later (over 10 minutes),? we got a glass of tap water. Keep in mind that there was nobody else there in the restaurant. It was just your typical miserable German waitress. The pizza that was ordered, was a standard no cheese pizza with aubergine on top (it may have been some other vegetable, in any case it was one of the optional toppings you pay extra for). However the waitress said it is like this (x) pizza, but without the cheese, and she was then corrected to the pizza that was wanted and with the additional topping (because it worked out cheaper). When the bill came, not only was there the ridiculous charge for the fizzy water we could not drink, but they had charged for the tap water! And then they had billed for the pizza with the cheese on. I paid, but then my friend who had the pizza challenged it after, and they eventually agreed to correct the pizza price. I did not mention the water to them.I want to review this place with 2.5 stars, 3 stars is too much, so I have to give it 2 stars. The food is good, but the staff seem miserable, unfriendly and dishonest (the former 2 are common in Germany, the latter not so much), which just makes it too uncomfortable for me to recommend or want to go back there. If you have to eat good food in this town then this may be your only option. Just be a bit more wary than you may normally be."
