good bourgeois kitchen with excellent fish dishes. saibling, felchen, forelle or kretzer (egli) is recommended. also the other dishes are good. the service is very friendly. price / performance fits. parking is also available.

Rooms are noisy and warm. No airco and that’s pretty necessary when you visit this place in summer. My bed felt like a pool in the middle of the night. Also had to remove a couple of cobwebs. Staff is friendly and breakfast was ok. Just don’t expect a lot of vitamins. Fine place to sleep when you’re on a roadtrip.

So, we were here again tonight after 4-5 long years. We have been here many times before. It's still fabulous. It's unpretentious, charming, clean, efficient and the kitchen is tremendous. We love sitting outside in the cute biergarten where the children can play. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! Kurt (my Schwarzwalder) and his American, Diana!

from the staader harbour a few steps the narrow street up and already you have the choice: beergarten orgaststube with good-bourgeois cuisine. parking is also available and enjoyable the number of tourissurable. for this the age group 60 plus dominates,which can be easily walked here with squirting wine meat and fish dishes. the kitchen is tasty and floor-by-floor, the service friendly - a hospitable, uncomplicated as you like it.

Okay, I thought I had good, even great, food here in Germany before, but that was before my wife and I ate lunch here. She ordered a schnitzel with mushroom gravy and I ordered wild gulasch. By far the best of both we've had in all of Germany. In talking with one of the other guests, the wild gulasch had wild pig from the forest for this special, and for the special before it was venison from a deer also from the forest. Friendly staff, willing to help Americans with the menu. I can see why this place was packed with dozens of locals. I wish for more restaurants like this, with understanding staff. Thank you so much for a wonderful time in the beer garden!
