Gatazul - Menu

My sister and I just passed an excellent evening in this beautiful restaurant. The hosts were very friendly and warm, the dinner absolutely delicious! Highly recommendable, we wish these young people a lot of success, they deserve it!

Visited twice and attempted a 3rd visit in our time in Benalmádena. (It was closes Tuesdays) Food is delicious, far better than the standard fare in Benalmádena. Staff were really nice and the food was just lovely. Reading the reviews this appears to be a new venture. Best of luck with this

We went on a Groupon deal. We had 4 starters, 4 mains, 4 desserts and 2 bottles of wine for 44.90 euro. The starters and desserts were fantastic, the mains were nice and the wine was lovely. The service from the staff was very attentive. I would have been a little disappointed had we paid full price for our meals, but on the deal we had it was fantastic value for money. Have the burgers they are immense.

wow what a wonderful new restaurants,near but not in the Puerto marina area . First class in every way ,and so different to the normal offerings around the marina ,simply excellent chef here From my Octopus Carpaccio starter to the most amazing suckling pig main ,others in the party had steak and shoulder of lamb and equally impressed and very good wines at a sensible price . you will go back if you try it once .

Nicest place we ate in Benalmedena. There is so much fried food everywhere else it was nice to have a choice of proper decent food here and lovely wine. Good choice of fish, meat and vegetarian options. Slightly More expensive for food than the main strip but far superior quality and still good value and great choice. Nice staff, beautiful design. Really recommend it for couple or family. Early bird 3 course 12.30-4 very reasonable

Although the menu is quite Spartan the quality of the meat and fish is excellent. However, the wine is extortionate at €12 a glass (similar in size to a small glass in the UK) and not particularly palatable either. For the most part the restaurant is empty of patrons but the service is excruciatingly slow, prepare for a long wait. The staff are attentive and friendly but the slow service, limited menu and price are definitely not good enough.

We had read the advertisement in the free local paper and the few reviews on Trip Advisor. Decided to try the 3 course menu del dia. Great location and attractive modern decor with a good outlook. We started with Gulas salad and a thick tomato soup with bacon, served cold. Both came with bread and butter. For mains we both had grilled Lenguado with roasted veg and mash. Shared a bottle of good house wine and agua con gas. For desert it was cheesecake with a cortado to finish. Even the toilets were spotlessly clean. A fabulous dining experience and we will go back.

Lovely restaurante with good service. However, having read the reviews prior to visiting, we were a little disappointed with the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere. My husband was disappointed with his Russian Salad starter which he felt was quite bland and tasteless. My starter of black noodles and prawns however was very good. I had a sirloin steak main course and although it was perfectly cooked, found it to be far too salty. My husband was equally disappointed with his sucking pig which was much smaller than you would expect and was only accompanied by slices of apple. We determined to eat at the Gatazul as it stood out as being a cut above many of the usual beachside restaurants in Benalmadena. However, despite remarkably comfortable and pleasing setting and a most engaging and pleasant host, the food was disappointing to say the least. An expensive disappointment as well. It may well be that we choose a bad time, we were very early, around 7 'o clock and the room was completely empty, until another German couple came in. However, the food whilst edible was not anything like as good as the good in some of the more 'ordinary ' eating places.
