"the truth is said that this was my first real British pub to which I have ever gone, but still I enjoyed my first stay so much I came back three days in order. the ship inn is absolutely great, I would go so far to say it is among the best bars I was time. the staff is super friendly, eating is at a restaurant level of quality and taste and the beer selection should have something for everyone! the building itself is worth a visit. I hope I'll be back soon."

After exploring some of the great places to visit on foot in Exeter came across this gem of a pub. What a find great food and friendly staff. We will definitely be back when visiting Exeter again. Love Linda and Phil

Nice interior and good food! You feel the history and age of the place. We had the favourites platter as a starter which was quite a lot. Then we shared a fish chips and a steak and ale pie. Both were good but the portions quite large.

Such a quaint pub, steeped in history and atmosphere. It gets top marks for being dog friendly too. Came for an anniversary meal, and was not disappointed. Super food and drink, well presented and very reasonably priced. What is not to like?

beautiful small pub with not straight line in itself that they need to look. the locals had a chat and friendly like the bar staff. eating was excellent, even the veggy burger was a carnivore for me. sir francis drakes favorite and a stop for a drink or a fast bite worth.
