Service was bad and slow, we had sausages which really guys very bad, industrial taste , if i would buy it in the super that it passed but really guys,wake up, and by the way the fries were salted as if salt was free of...charge . We will never come back

we ate four in the big meyerhof. service was very nice and we really ate there. unfortunately we didn't taste it very much. acid leberle had too much acid and were tough tombs lazy and partly black. forelle was small and somewhat sweet with buttermandel overfilled. the potatoes were leached and all, but freshly cooked. the bad threesome was very good.

I know this restaurant since my student days and I still consider it the best choice if you just want a really good simply local dish in the centre of freiburg at a low price. The restaurant offers a good selection of local dishes...for up to ca. euro. I always find the quality is really good in comparison to the price, even sometimes better, surely not worse than much more expensive restaurants with local cuisine. Only drawback: the interior is a bit squalid for my taste. I don't mind if I am alone and want a good meal. I would not like to go with my friends in order to spend a nice evening, at least not inside. In summer there is outside seating. That’s much better

When we first walked into the restaurant, it was very crowded. An excellent sign. The atmosphere was lovely. The staff was very welcoming. Our waitress gave us an English menu then we asked for a German one too. Gotta keep learning! Our meals were good...portions with wine and beer Alles Gut! Our tummy was happy. We would eat here again Now...to the artistic side of Grosser Meyerhof. The first thing I noticed was the artwork on the menus. Beautiful and cleverly done. It really brought me joy! At the end of the meal, I mentioned to our waitress that I love the artwork on the menu and she pointed to the lady who is The Artist. The waitress mentioned that The Artist makes her own Christmas card...
