Stopped here several times on route to Cornwall, stunning breakfast everytime, we will definitely be back

My husband described our large breakfast as exceptional! The quality ingredients were well cooked and the portion size was definitely generous.

Stopped here on way to Looe from midlands, had a nice cooked breakfast, all the usual ingredients, they are happy to make amendments to the menu.. i.e. toast replace fried bred!

We often stop here for breakfast/brunch, great food, good prices, friendly staff, very clean, tables sprayed and wiped when cleared. Refreshing to have a place you can rely on to be consistently enjoyable.

Missed our turn off foe the A30, and decided to stop for lunch here. So so glad we did! Amazing lunch, awesome hot chocolates, and the service was superb as well. Just a shame we couldn't bring our dog in, but aside from that, everything was superb. Thanks to all staff

The full English breakfast was delicious, but on the pricey side, especially with the additional cost for a cup of tea. Spending almost ten pounds on breakfast is quite expensive, and charging £1.60 for a cup of tea seems excessive. Overall, the meal was enjoyable but also quite costly.

Located next to Exeter Racecourse on the A38, this restaurant is a great pit stop on the way to Plymouth and Cornwall. It appears to be an independent establishment and is clean and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the food is tasty although a bit on the pricey side. Overall, it's worth taking a break here.

I have to say I wasn’t expecting much, I assumed it was just a road side cafe but I was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, lovely staff and just an all round nice place. It’s quiet dated decor wise but it just works and adds to the nice feel of the place. Would highly recommend and will absolutely go again. Very child friendly very welcoming and not many places have all of that!

There are many places to have a breakfast nowadays, but Haldon Forest Diner provide a great breakfast at a good price. Great service in a clean environment. It may look a bit dated in the inside, but it’s what a breakfast should be. Great place to meet friends, whether a ride out or a days walking on Dartmoor. It’s not off the beaten track as is right next to the A38 on the west south bound carriageway. All the staff are friendly and approachable and a service with a smile (and eye contact) something that doesn’t happen often anymore…
