"The store is full of lovely produce but I have given an average rating because today was the second time we have bought prepared salad pots that have a ‘use by’ date that have expired before the date of purchase. Today I bought one prepared salad that had a best before date of yesterday and one with an expiry date of 4 days time, so the salad pots can be prepared and sitting on the shelves for 4 days or longer before sale because food is being sold that has exceeded its best before date. As the best before date stickers are put on the bottom of the pots it is difficult to check the dates before purchase. This practice certainly detracts from what this store should be about and if they want to sell food that is past it’s best before date and charge full price it should be clearly shown so customers can decide if they want to pay full price for a salad that is past its best. Shame as otherwise I like the store and the staff."

great sport for nice eating! the service is not bad and the atmosphere is good, but the restaurant is cramped! eating is the middle piece here and it is great

they make their own ketchup. it is amazingly good, richly spiced and bursting with sweet, ripe tomato, and I ate it with a spoon as soon as the sandwich has expired.

great place for a relaxed but high quality dinner. always change the menu and extremely attentive staff. a welcome relief from the somewhat predatory restaurants in blackheath. highly recommended.

The restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food they serve. The "Kimchee and cheese" sandwich was particularly unpleasant for my stomach. The salads and pastries were decent, but the prices were too high.

We stopped and had a Kim chi and cheese toastie and coffee for breakfast, it was amazingly good, really unusual but made with love. We then brought some veg rolls and spinach and ricotta pastries, these looked good too

I recently tried their quiche lunch box and it was amazing. The serving sizes were generous and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the flavorful quiche. I highly recommend this dish and look forward to exploring more options on their menu.

Warm welcome upon our arrival. Service was on point, very attentive. I had the chicken liver brandy parfait as my starter which, was good. I had the pork fillet wrapped in pancetta, kale, broad beans, lentils, red wine jus infused with tarragon which was absolutely delicious . For desert I ordered the poached white peach, ginger sponge with pistachio chantilly cream which I really enjoyed albeit that I usually do not like deserts. The organic red wine was absolutely delicious

The food at this restaurant is truly excellent and for the price, no other place in Blackheath compares to this small eatery. However, dining here can be a bit challenging as it requires patience, consideration, and good timing. The cafe style service includes queuing up at a small counter to order, in a crowded space filled with old ladies, children, and people with walking aids. The decor aims for 'shabby chic' but falls short, with small rooms that feel cramped and poor acoustics. The best option is to sit outside at one of the small tables.
