"The only reason I gave this place 5 stars is that I can't give it 10! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by warm, friendly, and professional staff who make you feel right at home. The frying dinners here are among the best you’ll ever have—so good you might find yourself going back for seconds, just like at Mama's house. You'll feel so welcome that there's no rush; you can take your time to truly savor your meal and relax. Don't confuse this with slow service; the staff is incredibly personal and attentive to each patron's needs. I have to say, I'm glad the cook isn't my mother—I'd probably end up the size of a house!"

"The Thai food at this pub was surprisingly delicious. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time as seating is limited. The beef pa nang curry had a great spicy kick and was very tasty. The lunchtime deal of a main and a pint for £11 was a great value. It was a nice change to see an alcohol-free beer on tap. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, a great choice for a lunchtime meal with prices ranging from £10-20 per person."

"for a family celebration. eating was nice as it was always. we were removed in a room from other diners, which meant that we could speak as a large group among us without disturbing other smaller groups. many thanks to the cook and the management for their really thoughtful approach to nutrition needs zb gluten-free. it was a great choice, each court could be tweet, that was especially beautiful when it desserts. I never felt like I was limited in my choice and the alternatives I was given was very good."

"Excellent Sunday roast here. Beef cooked perfectly to our liking rare and pink in the middle, tender and extremely tasty. Great accompaniments and superb Yorkshire pud. Very busy on the Sunday we were there obviously popular and justifiably so based on what we ate. Pistachio souffle is one of the best souffles anywhere and is consistently good. Service is efficient and attentive without feeling overbearing extra veg and gravy are always freely offered. 2 and 3 course options available to save on the individual course prices."

"Ate here before Christmas with friends having not eaten here for a while so decided to take my family back for a meal. Unfortunately this time food was a little disappointing, Limited menu, I had the cod and my husband the vegan beetroot dish. Cod with the fish and chips also very small. We both said some odd flavours going on verging on unpalatable in places. Biscuit that went with the Panna cotta was also odd flavour but the sticky toffee was lovely have to say. Portion sizes very small but prices seem much higher. I know its a hard time for pubs and restaurants so felt at didn't want to complain and also spoil the vibe of our meal as were with family who haven't been out for a while and it was our treat. Service was friendly enough but a large party seemed to naturally hog it despite the rest of the pub seeming half empty and with a small child to entertain we really would have liked it to have been a tad quicker. Don't know whether the chef has changed? My husband who hasn't been for ages said he wouldn't return so I wanted to give feed back as might help to not lose others customers in the future as feel that would be shame."
