"Visited the Spyglass for my birthday meal. Our server, Terry, was just the right person for the job. Very friendly willing to have a joke and very pleasant. We arrived at 18.00 and all was well, then at 18.30 a party of 16 arrived and from then on service was slowed dramatically. Terry was also had a lot of tables of 4 or 6 to serve. He did his very best but he was obviously slowed by this big party, so our meal took longer than it should have. He was very proffessional and just dealt with everyone methodically and calmly. Full marks to him for a great job."

It's a Harvester so food is as you would expect, reasonable quality and good size portions. Eat from.the set menu which was great value.

We celebrated my dad's birthday with a meal for six, and it was fantastic! The staff were wonderful, especially Lee. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10!

Was left a long time waiting for bill also when I went to salad bar waited 20minutes for bacon bites ask loads of time if they had any when they did bring them out was like it was to much trouble

The food was outstanding, although the service was a bit slow and the staff could have been more cheerful. Despite that, my family and I were pleasantly surprised by just how delicious the food was.

The wait for the bill took a long time, and when I went to the salad bar, I waited 20 minutes for the special bites. I asked several times when they would be ready, and when they finally arrived, it felt like it had taken way too much effort. Visualizza piatti

This was our first visit for a long time. Size of my half chicken was so small it must had been a week old.Chips were reheated and stale, corn on the cob been boiled all day just pulp salad cart was fine it saved the day, Under staffing issues failed to top up items which needed replenishing.

Would not normally go there but it was convenient this time as just joined The Fork. Both steaks we had could be bounced off a wall and the cajun chicken breast was very dry. As this is a very family orientated holiday pub there is no ambience whatsoever and the staff looked like they did not want to be there. Things could be better.
