I was in this restaurant for the first time. the food and the choice of weeping were excellent. I have it now on my list of restaurants that I will visit again.

Too casual for our taste, service friendly at the beginning but as more people started to order we were simply forgotten' f.e. wine and water were not re-filled, service was just too busy to care for all guests properly. Food was fine although we...felt that the starters and deserts were too expensive. Good wine list, albeit rather pricey as well. We left with mixed feelings; there are better options in Hamburg.

You have heard all the notes before but you never heard them put together this way. Heldenplatz does this. What a gem. It isn’t just the unctuous food, it is the decor, the ambience, the personal service, the subtle and unintrusive soundtrack and even the...tongue in cheek signs on the conveniences. Everything about this place just makes you smile. The food is smile food. The Michelin experience of the staff is evident but they do not try to pretend to produce that. They produce dishes that make you smile with their honest combination of flavours. The great George Martin, if he could have played these notes, would have deemed it one of his greatest musical arrangements. Thank you Heldenplatz...

The food was very good as one could expect from a toprated restaurant but service was definitely not up to standards. Staff was nice but placing our wine away from the table in a cooler requires attention from the waitress. She was too busy elsewhere...so we had to signal twice for our glasses to be refilled not ok. Why not leave it at the table in its own cooler? Even with small tables you can get coolers that can hang on the table. The big mistake though came when we had finished our meal. We had a carafe of tapwater and at that time she emptied it in our glasses and instead of asking if we wanted more water she just returned with a new carafe.
