"Really bad service. In 3 hours i only had 3 drinks (1 of them i had to go up to the bar) as there was no one available to serve us. A big table next to us got constant attention, so we felt like no one was being attentive. We had a lovely view by the glass over looking the beach but none of the heaters on that side worked, my mum didn’t eat her meal, there must of been almost a hour half wait between my starter our mains. The mains were cold Simply didn’t taste nice. The manager settled the bill for us but overall it was really disappointing, waited for our bill for ages (another couple were the same) then noone come over after we asked for the card machine, in the end we found cash between us to pay just so we could get out of there. The staff were friendly but the whole night was ruined by the service- its a shame"

Location on the terrace on a warm summers evening is excellent. Service could have been better but we were in no rush. Food was good as always.

What an amazing setting, lovely view of Gorleston beach accompanied by very friendly and attentive staff who even offered to take our picture to capture the occasion for is. The choice and quality of the drinks and food matched this for a five star Sunday lunch. We will certainly be back soon.

We were seated under a palm tree where hundreds of little spiders kept climbing over the table, on the food and over our bodies. There was no shade available and it took a while for the waitress to take our order. The paninis were delicious however the thigh burger was disgusting, it was gritty and had hard pieces within it.

Food was good however the service here is always messy. Slow delivery of drinks and slow clearing plates and glasses. You always have to prompt for anything. You ask someone for help and they just say “I’ll tell your server” Female manager very good and things picked up when she helping I get they’re busy, but the service takes the enjoyment out of it. Great food and location

The Venue itself is very nice, the staff are helpful and polite. Unfortunately, the food wasn't great. I had the fish chips, firstly it could have been hotter, but besides that, the batter on the fish was a bit soggy and the fish had little flavour and was watery, I suppose it had been frozen and possibly not thawed, didn't like the chips much. Burger was ok. My friend had to send coffee back because it wasn't hot. Altogether the food was average. It's a shame because it's a really nice place in Gorleston to meet up with friends.

Three of our group of four had cause to return our same choice of main meal. Having spoken to a waitress the meals were removed from the table with an apology. However the manageress then appeared at the table explaining that after discussion with the chef should we require another meal it would be added to the bill. The standoff and further heated discussion lasted a further few minutes until she walked away. It was our first visit to the restaurant with friends visiting the area. The choice of venue was specifically made following a visit to Gorleston-on-Sea some months before. It was unneeded, embarrassing and spoilt the afternoon. The initial food was not of a standard expected at such a...

"An exceptionally unique dining experience! Our holiday companion booked Pamela’s for dinner and we were unsure of what to expect, however we were assured of good quality food and a great experience and we certainly were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were shown to a table in the lounge, provided with the menus and ordered drinks. Service is exceptionally professional and friendly from arrival to departure. The decor is most unique and very fun to take in. The upstairs dining room is more casual and I loved watching the chefs in the open kitchen. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. Our vegetarian diner was slightly limited for choice and there was a blip with the main course, however it was handled and recovered very well (we were unaware when booking, however we have now been advised to phone ahead a minimum of 24-hours and special meal arrangements can be made in advance for vegetarian meals). The fish cakes and miso Salmon were very delicious and cooked to perfection. The duck legs had crispy skin, moist meat and a tasty accompanying Orzo pasta. All in all I would thoroughly recommend Pamela’s for a delicious meal with 5* service. Vegetarian options: Recommended to advise the restaurant a minimum of 24-hours in advance. There were 2 starters and 1 main course (featuring pasta on all dishes) on the a la carte menu, however if you call in advance then arrangements can be made."
