"Gestern führte ich eine Wanderung rund um Mönchberg mit der Wirtschaft Zum Goldenen Rad als Abschlussrast. Die Bedienung war freundlich, schnell, net auf den Mund gefallen ; das Essen war leckere, bodenständige, ehrliche Hausmannskost; ein Problemchen mit der Kartenzahlung wurde durch 1 Runde Schnaps aufs Haus mehr als Wett gemacht; endlich mal eine neu eröffnete Gaststätte, in der das Einkehren wieder mal zum Erlebnis wird! Weiter so, wir kommen wieder!"

"Since we spent 2 nights in the Baumhaushotel Wipfelluck, we were looking for a restaurant for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday evening in Mönchberg. Since the selection of these days was very manageable in relation to open restaurants in Mönchberg, we arrived here. The first visit on Tuesday we have, as allowed to sit the weather on both days in the covered area of the cozy beer garden under countless grapes) was very good. The boss was very friendly and the service, although we were the only guests in the beer garden, was completely fine. The pizza was very delicious. On the second day, unfortunately, we had another picture. Even after we have often said that we were sitting outside and had already ordered drinks, it took a long time for someone to come. This time the son came into a teenager age and put us very sweet drinks. The order of food also worked only after my husband had abandoned it in the restaurant. The food, this time we ordered two of the carvings, was again very tasty and rich. Especially the added salad was really good. Then the boss came out and apologized that the service was bad. A lot of air is still possible in the service. The food is delicious and the portions rich, so the value for money is good. But I personally find good, consistent service important. There are only 3 stars in total."

"We've never been disappointed here. All very tasty, especially the cattle steaks. However, you should reserve as much as possible. Since we like to decide spontaneously to go for food, we took 5 calls in the last few months until it finally worked out. But that only speaks for the place because there are many gourmets."

"We were here as Bartholomew market in Mönchberg. The waiting period was correspondingly longer, through the market, but food definitely paid it back.
