Called in on the off chance as we usually go for Sunday lunch (which we always found was great) two steaks proper home cut chips all the trimmings and pepper sauce. Cooked as I liked it. Excellent value for money and tasty food. Worth a visit.

Tried to book for a groupon that we purchased and was advised we couldn 't use it as they were fully booked upThe attitude of the person who tried to book is in was nothing but "I don 't care "Reported back to groupon and refunded Poor experience and didn 't even get to dine

The pub is much nicer inside than out. The food was traditional pub fodder of excellent volume and choice. My children had jacket potato cheese and beans, lasagne and chips and fish and chips all were enjoyed although the wait was slightly longer than we anticipated. The bar service were excellent and very helpful and polite. Will definitely return.

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The interior design is delightful, clean, and inviting. The food was fantastic - we tried the ham, egg, and chips and were told that the ham was unbelievably tender. I ordered the lamb shank with creamy mashed potatoes, peas, and mint gravy and it was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone. We will definitely be returning regularly.

My family did not enjoy this experience, booked 2 weeks in advance, for Sunday lunch, but must admit we arrived 30 minutes after the arranged time, Perhaps this was the reason they had run out of veg choices, no pork, and no lamb. The gravy was watery the staff were very attentive, and apologetic, however they did not make up for the meal.! the size of our party, may not have help, in making up my review.

We usually have a Saturday breakfast locally and as the Holly had started doing breakfast we decide to give it a try. We were glad we did. £4.95 regular breakfast consisted of 2 fried eggs, 2 bacon rashers, 2 sausages, mushrooms, black pudding, baked beans, hash brown and tomatoes tinned or fried plus toast and complimentary tea or coffee. Best breakfast we have had for a long time and right on our doorstep We will definitely be back

There was 15 of us who were out for a family meal,pub looks better inside as first impressions from the outside is run-down.out of what we all ate,gammon was fine,scampi was ok but tartar sauce wasn't the best,the steaks seemed fine but we've had bigger in other pubs.loads of chips and peas.outside smoking area had only 1 ashtray between all the tables that was crammed full,and one of our party waited 20 minutes for a drink.needs some improvements,won't be going back in a hurry.

Had a groupon for 4 of us for this eating experience. Enjoyed the food at the money off price but there are more comfortable eating places i 'd have to say at the same sort of price. Felt a little odd walking through the bar to get to the seating, more of a pub and less of a restaurant in that way where the 'regulars ' looked askance at 'non regulars ' as they passed. The chicken 'boulders ' were tasty, something a little bit different there but the usual pub fare otherwise. The steaks were fine too. Not the largest portions for the money at full price perhaps.
