"I was really looking forward to having breakfast here, so I drove twenty minutes to get there in time to sample their breakfast menu. The location is gorgeous, the setting lovely I sat outside with chickens and goats in the field next to me, and the staff who greeted me were wonderful. I ordered something to eat and had a delicious coffee and orange juice and waited for my dish (avocado on toast with bacon and poached eggs. to arrive. It didn 't take long, but when it arrived I noticed it had quite a lot of balsamic vinegar all over the top. I tried to enjoy it, but the taste was so strong it obliterated everything else. I hate complaining, but it had made the meal, for me, inedible. I gently and kindly explained and the lovely staff member went to talk to someone. A few minutes later I hear someone say quite loudly as if they were really annoyed... 'Where is she?? ' A woman (the owner came out and I stood up to greet her and said hello. She then proceeded to tell me that the balsamic vinegar 'made ' the meal and was what made it taste nice, and that in five years no one had ever complained. I was basically made to feel like a mad person for not agreeing that balsamic vinegar is the best thing ever. She angrily declared it was not her fault. She was rude and dismissive and I felt really upset. She reluctantly said she would cook it all from scratch again but it would be at least another half an hour, but by then I felt it was probably best to just go. She was pretty miffed that I dared ask for a refund, and walked off. It doesn 't matter whether balsamic vinegar is the best thing ever or not, (I think it is an acquired taste, and a strong one at that, so not everyone is going to like it, despite what the owner thinks... if it had been listed on the menu, I would have had a choice. But it wasn 't. I didn 't get breakfast, and I still feel upset to have been made to feel so terrible for something that wasn 't my fault either. This place is lovely, and the quality of the ingredients is clearly good, and the staff are really lovely and helpful (they are a credit to the business but the menu needs to be clearer, and if a customer dares to 'complain ' the owner needs to listen to them rather than invalidating what they say and getting annoyed. Perhaps she was having a bad day, it happens. I wish them all the best and thanks for a lovely coffee, but I won 't be back."

Good food and charming service but would not recommend at this time of year due to a plague of wasps that make trying to eat and drink quite unpleasant

I'd give the coffee 4/5 but score brought down by nearly stale coffee cake. Shame cos it's a lovely location in the middle of green countryside. Coffee only next time I think!

DO NOT BOTHER!!!! 1.5 hour wait for a bacon sandwich is enough to test anybody’s patience. Refunded, walked out and had to change entire days plans. They were still taking orders at this point. Absolute joke Avoid Avoid avoid!!!

What an absolute gem nestled in beautiful and tranquil countryside. We visited with our cockapoo for breakfast today. The food, venue and staff were wonderful. Sadly our pup didn’t go much on the doggy ice cream as he was far more interested in sampling our delicious bacon and sausages

So glad I found this little gem to celebrate my mums birthday. We had afternoon tea and it was all beautiful, there was so much we needed to take doggy bags home! The staff from start to finish were very attentive asking us if we were enjoying our food and if we required more tea or sandwiches. The fact that it was in such a beautiful location was also an added bonus! Will be recommending to friends

This place is a solid 10/10. The food is just fantastic and the surroundings are beautiful. I've been twice once for a mother's day afternoon tea once for the Friday evening pizza night and have been so impressed both times. My husband is gluten free and the fact they homemade the gf pizza base was well impressive (usually places buy in the generic gf bases from the supermarket and charge a small fortune! The team are so friendly and attentive that the whole experience has been so positive during both of my visits. I just need to get in and try breakfast next...! I highly recommend a visit.

"The Museum Inn, located in Farnham, Nr. Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8DE We booked late on Friday night and only one room was available so it was meant to be! We arrived around 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff, shown to our room The Catch and made a reservation for dinner, luckily they still had spaces for dinner but it is advised to book in advance. Lovely spacious room and bathroom, kettle, teas, coffees and bottled water supplied. I have to say I fell in love with the hand wash and hand cream, I have already purchased some for home, the brand is called Bramley and the scent is Lavender, Geranium and Petitgrain. The bed is probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in that is not our own, soft feather pillows that were just right! Dinner was a three course meal and it was delicious, we took 2 hours to eat but never felt rushed or like we were waiting too long between courses. Starters: Ham hock terrine with sourdough toast and Prawn, potato and crayfish fishcakes. Mains: Burger and Steak Ale pie Desserts: Chocolate Brownie with cherry sorbet. Biscoff donuts with pumpkin pie ice cream Drinks: Poretti lager and Cherry cocktail. Breakfast: Eggs Royale and Smashed avocado, poached egg and bacon, absolutely scrumilicious! Big thanks to Amanda who served us this morning and checked us out. Highly recommend staying and eating here and we will 100% be back again! Safe travels! The Allsebrooks x"
