"Now we have discovered this gem of a Tearoom I can see it being a staple of future visits to Edinburgh. We visited on Thursday morning and had the wonderful scrambled eggs mine with half a side of smoked salmon and my wife's with gruyere and chorizo. Delicious and huge portions. It kept us going all day until dinner at 8pm! We went back and my wife had home made Granola and I had the breakfast and we didn't feel the need to eat again until this evening. I also had orange juice (freshly squeezed). Wonderful food and a lovely, helpful and efficient lady running the place. As it says on the blackboard all the food is freshly prepared so it takes a little time but its worth it. Excellent variety of teas and the cakes looked delicious. Definitely recommend and definitely going back."

Wonderful place for a breakfast. Food was superb, all cooked fresh to order. Small and cosy, so limited space but worth the wait for food. Generous portions perfect start for a day around the city.

A chance passing and going in just the most perfect place. There wasn’t one part of our visits (we went the next day too for breakfast! that wasn’t just so lovely. So worth a visit. A superb wee place

Perfect! Such a gem of a place that we found. Highly recommend, intimate as it’s only small inside but adds to the vibe. Food was gorgeous menu full of lovely, appetising things. Never ending tea list, lovely lady working the front too just couldn’t fault the place!

We absolutely loved this place and went back both mornings we stayed over in Haymarket. It felt special in here and really cosy as well. Really nice lady runnning the cafe. Superb high quality brunch and great portions as well, plenty to chose from. Will 100% be back next time in Edinburgh :

What a fantastic find we had breakfast here yesterday and u was so full (gruyere and chorizo scrambled eggs on sourdough toast that I didnt need to eat again until 8pm (and not really then! I couldn't even finish. So good we came back the next day wish I lived closer to make this a regular stop.

Excellent freshly made food. The portions are very large, so everyone gets their fill. It's worth it not to order more than one thing at a time. There is everything from healthy food to calorie bombers here. It is admirable how the coffee is run by only one woman, without having to wait for a long time.

Small place with fantastic food made from the heart. We went 2 times for breakfast. We ordered Bread with mexican beans and avocado. This is a delicious plate. We also had pancakes with fruitsauce, also delicious. We also had tea and a coffee called Cortado . I lived many years in the Canary Islands where it is from, and you don´t see this coffee elsewhere. she know how to make it, thanks, lived it.

I hadn 't been to this gorgeous wee tearoom for ages, but was passing when out for a walk on a very cold December day for a coffee. Then I saw it offered real hot chocolate, a thing that 's often advertised but rarely accurate. But the Honeycomb hot chocolate is absolutely superb large, thick and luscious. Apparently some people find it too rich, but if like me you 're a serious chocolate lover, this is the place to go!

My husband, daughter I went for breakfast at the Honeycomb Tearoom this morning it was great. Only about a dozen seats only one lady (the owner? , serving cooking. This isn’t a place to go if you’re in a rush but the food is well worth the wait. The full breakfast was delicious. My daughter enjoyed her waffles with Nutella bananas, a large portion with plenty of Nutella. My husband went for a breakfast roll with sausage added egg which he also enjoyed. We will definitely come back next time we’re in Edinburgh.
