This restaurant has to be one of the most reliable institutions in France. When other places have closed because it's Sunday, August, the local Pardon' or the Feast of the Assumption, the Hôtel du Lac is there. The food isn't fancy but there's plenty of...variety and it's all done to a good standard. And the wine is all reasonably priced! Instead of having a crêpe for lunch, try a Hôtel du Lac pizza. They're really quite impressive cooked in a proper pizza oven in the traditional Neapolitan style. Good value, too.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at the Hótel du Lac. We chose the set dinner menu and were delighted with our choices. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, the portion size was very appropriate for a course meal and it...was well prepared. The staff were very friendly and understanding of our limited French. We chose a lovely Beaujolais to accompany our dinner and it too was very good. We felt it was a very good value for courses and the a la carte menu looked delicious as well.
