I Morti Di Fame - Menu

Having great seafood in Umbria is a rarity, but here at Morti di Fame, we have had great seafood, good portions at a fair value. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for seafood in Central Umbria. They also have a complete meat menu as well as pizza. Bravo Marco.

Che piacere trovare del buon pesce nel cuore dell'Umbria! Ho assaggiato dei deliziosi ravioli di pesce e spada fresca. Anche i piatti ordinati dai miei compagni erano ottimi. La pizza sembrava buona. Un posto modesto in un centro commerciale, persone gentili, buon cibo, provatelo!

Invitati a cena per la prima volta abbiamo scelto il menù fisso di pesce a 42,00€. Siamo riusciti a finire solo gli antipasti, nonostante lasciassimo sempre qualcosa nei piatti successivi, davvero ottimi e abbondanti. Veniamo da Terni e ringraziamo Paola e Paolo per questa piacevole sorpresa. Complimenti a tutto lo staff, molto cordiale per questa bellissima serata!

We had a wonderful experience eating at this restaurant! The menu was extensive with delicious sounding seafood choices. We had clams linguini, mussels and shrimp scampi. All were outstanding. Ate there 3 times during our week stay in Collepepe. The pizza was also unbelievable . Fresh ingredients, thin crust and very reasonable prices. Staff was very nice and tried to speak English and be helpful. Google translate helped. Authentic Italian cooking

We have been having lunch at this restaurant since it first opened and occasionally have dinner there. The daily menu usually consists of 3 choices of pasta and 3 choices of a main course and a choice if vegetables or salad. This, along with wine and water costs only 11 euros per head excellent value. The evenings, particularly at weekends can be very busy so it is vital to book ahead. Marco also occasionally organises themed evenings with a set menu which, again, are excellent value. The a la carte menu has a good variety of fish and seafood, a rarity in umbria, all really well cooked as well as Pizzas and meat courses.

First of all, strip mall? Yes, but inside you find yourself in a very large, attractive, modern restaurant. We had a great dinner there, but left stuffed, as the portions are huge, and so good that you know you have to eat them. The carbonara di mare that was my primo was a whole meal, and the secondo, shrimp, clams, and squid on skewers was huge, too, and so good. We had a bottle of white wine from the Grechetto grape, new to me, that was delicious. If you don't like seafood, there is a massive menu, as well as pizza. The Italians seemed not be eating various things and enjoying them. It was an excellent experience...but remember, this is where your hunger goes to die.

Innanzitutto, centro commerciale? Sì, ma all'interno ti trovi in un ristorante molto grande, attraente e moderno. Abbiamo avuto una cena fantastica lì, ma siamo usciti sazi, perché le porzioni sono enormi e così buone che devi mangiarle tutte. La carbonara di mare che era il mio primo piatto era un pasto completo, e il secondo, gamberi, vongole e calamari su spiedini era anch'esso enorme e così buono. Abbiamo bevuto una bottiglia di vino bianco dell'uva Grechetto, nuovo per me, che era delizioso. Se non ti piace il pesce, c'è un menu enorme, oltre alla pizza. Gli italiani sembravano mangiare varie cose e gustarle. È stata un'esperienza eccellente... ma ricorda, questo è il posto dove va a mo...

Came here on a Friday night with my husband, based solely on the reviews. Firstly, the GPS in our rental car brought us close, but not to, the restaurant. It is in a strip mall, and easy to miss, as there is only an entrance door in front, and not a store front. Well worth the trouble to find, as the food was pretty damn good. We started with the pizza Napoli (dumb Americans, we eat Secondi for starters). It was excellent, very thin crust, fabulous anchovies and capers. My husband then had the seafood spiedini (kabobs) which were also wonderful. I ordered the seafood pasta, which was very good, but could have used a little bump in the sauce. Siamo venuti qui un venerdì sera con mio marito, basandoci esclusivamente sulle recensioni. Innanzitutto, il GPS della nostra auto a noleggio ci ha portato vicino, ma non fino al ristorante. Si trova in un centro commerciale e è facile da perdere, poiché c'è solo una porta d'ingresso davanti e non una vetrina. Ben merita il problema per trovarlo, poiché il cibo era piuttosto buono.
