"Questo posto è raggiungibile via terra (è una passeggiata dalla strada e una ripida salita per tornare; a quanto pare c'è un modo per avvicinarsi attraverso una strada sterrata. Siamo arrivati via barca, puoi prendere alcuni dei servizi che corrono su e giù lungo la costa (Coop Cilento Mare o Coop Rosa dei Venti, ad esempio), ma puoi anche noleggiare un Gommone (gonfiabile, simile a uno Zodiac) dal porto di Marina di Camerota se ti senti a tuo agio a manovrare e ancorare una piccola imbarcazione (chiedi le restrizioni quando lo noleggi, che ti dà anche la possibilità di esplorare altre località vicine secondo il tuo programma. Il mare è perfetto (pulito, chiaro, caldo ovunque lungo questa costa. Per quanto riguarda il cibo, piatti semplici, realizzati con ingredienti freschi locali. Le melanzane ripiene (con capperi, olive, acciughe, pomodori) sono da morire, così come gli spaghetti al Pozzallo, le vongole, ecc. ecc. mmmmmmm. Inutile dire, stai lontano dalle offerte chiaramente non locali come la cotoletta di vitello impanata e le patatine fritte... i bambini insistevano e, beh, purtroppo ho ceduto. Sembra possibile prenotare il posto per cena, sarebbe un'ottima occasione con un gruppo di amici sotto una luna piena. (Mi chiedo se abbiano gli spaghetti al Werewolf ???)"

"Posto molto piacevole con un'ampia terrazza che si affaccia sul porto. Noi siamo arrivati presto, quando ancora il crepuscolo arrossava le nuvole ed il servizio è stato tempestivo, curato ed attento. Grande capacità del maitre che ci ha consigliato velocemente ed in modo molto competente. Abbiamo preso delle pizze particolari ma molto buone, abbinate a birre artigianali. Alla fine un meraviglioso sorbetto al limone affogato al limoncello ha chiuso magnificamente la serata."

"Sono tornata dopo qualche anno in questa pizzeria e devo ammettere che la pizza è sempre buona, proprio come la ricordavo. Gli ingredienti sono di alta qualità e l'impasto è molto saporito. Fantastico il cazzimbocchia, un ripieno di mozzarella, prosciutto cotto, olive nere e wurstel... senza dubbio da condividere per le dimensioni: vale la pena assaggiarlo!"

"just so many compliments for such a place. I came several times in July, it left us so satisfied. starting from the quality of the food and products, the dishes are prepared with care and skill. really generous portions of fish, as well as their pasta. in particular the paccheri with fish, their swordfish, tuna and I could go on. The very kind staff is very helpful and friendly too. the location is truly elegant, a place to spend a pleasant evening both with friends and as a couple. Furthermore, ample parking is available. "Marina di Camerota is one of my family's heartfelt places, and so is the San Domenico restaurant, now also a landlord and Fichello bello rosolio factory. My grandparents came here when the business was also a pizzeria, my parents came here, and now my wife and I have brought our three-month-old baby for his first holiday. The connection with the place is strong, so much so that when we think of Marina di Camerota, the connection with the San Domenico restaurant-rooms is inseparable. The rooms are well equipped, each is a small semi-independent apartment, complete with kitchenette and air conditioning, very suitable for those of us who were equipped with a baby-carrying stroller. But the strong point of San Domenico certainly remains the cuisine: Led by the indestructible patrons Catello and Santina, in the dining room and kitchen respectively, it finds in the young but experienced chef Riccardo a curious and attentive helmsman. The dishes are imaginative, colorful and always well-matched. Technique and knowledge at the service of seasonality and the raw material, which is local, or rather, zero mile. Here we cook not to amaze and demonstrate that we know how to cook, here we cook to make the diner happy, and Riccardo fully succeeds. Assisted by his younger brothers Stefano and Simone, he offers a young and never risky menu, with a solid eye on tradition in which technique and experience provide added value. In the dining room, the discreet and knowledgeable maitre sommelier Eliano pampered and satisfied us for the entire duration of our (alas always too short stay. Prices in line if not lower than the other places in Marina, but unfortunately perhaps the business suffers, as I had the opportunity to discuss with the chef, from the fact of not being in a location suitable for hit-and-run tourism (read: seafront , which isn't even the basic philosophy of San Domenico, but that's fine, that's fine. A visit to Fichello's laboratory, and we take some bottles and jars of their production as souvenirs for a sip of marina di camerota in the long winter days to come.
