One of the best places if you go for the traditional, simple and tasty farmers' cooking of an Italian Trattoria in the Maremma. Like Fiori di Zucca. Nothing sophisticated, just a most comfortable environment and great meals.

A family-run local restaurant, with a pleasant outside terrace, in a small hamlet, near Giardino dei Tarocchi. We had a late lunch there with other clients mostly local working people. Good freshly cooked simple dishes, generous portions.

Siamo stati in viaggio per vedere il Giardino dei Tarocchi e abbiamo trovato nelle vicinanze questa fantastica trattoria. Mio marito ha ordinato il cinghiale alle cacciatore e io l'agnello alla griglia, entrambi abbiamo adorato. Il vino della casa era molto fresco e soddisfacente. We followed the sign s to this place, thinking that it was going to be good. We could see the women in the kitchen cooking from bought food, so heating up. I ordered a Pesto di pomodoro and Mandorle, though it was Pesto from a jar and two cherry tomatoes. an Absolute fraus. we paid and left. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy the atmosphere was horrible and sad, and way over priced. you can tell that the owners are more focused on ripping off customers rather than cooking some fresh good food

Semplice, un po' insipido ma assolutamente genuino. La salsiccia alla griglia particolarmente buona. Il vino rosso della casa si abbina bene alla cucina. Il cinghiale alle cacciatore, i crostini, l'agnello alla griglia sono tutti buoni ma non si paragonano a Guido a Magliano, per esempio. Non abbiamo provato la pasta, cosa di cui ci siamo pentiti quando l'abbiamo vista passare; torneremmo sicuramente per provare la pasta. Il servizio eccellente, sempre presente, molto amichevole, chiacchierone per un pranzo davvero piacevole.

Trovare posti come Il Tortello è ciò che rende così divertente viaggiare. Abbiamo attraversato Pescia Fiorentina prima di pranzo e ci siamo fermati a dare un'occhiata. Siamo tornati per pranzo e siamo stati contenti di averlo fatto. Le tagliatelle al Ragu Al chiangale erano uno dei migliori piatti di pasta che abbia mai mangiato (e ne ho mangiata un SACCO. Il radicchio alla griglia era un ottimo contorno. Abbiamo scommesso sulla rusticiana (tradotta come arrosto ma erano davvero costine); non importa, era deliziosa. There is an old advertising saying, you can 't eat atmosphere , and it would apply here to il Tortello. But the beauty is, you can, and will want to return to eat at this simple, local gem of a restaurant. The speciality here is their pasta, offering a selection you can choose from, and then what type of 'topping ' aka ragu, pomodoro, etc, you would like. Get the house wine, a simple in season starter, chase it with one of their pastas, and if you have room (the proportions are huge! , a nice dessert. Your eyes will not believe how much you can eat, for so little. Suggestion: make a reso, be polite, and even if you don 't speak a lick of Italian, say grazie as much as you can. You will be ve...

Nestled on a quaint village square il Tortello is an institution and deservedly so. It brimmed and bustled with locals savoring a rustic Tuscan cuisine of yore. Simple to a T, paper covers tables, wine is from a barrel and hearty dishes are served brusquely. It is a happy place. My partner knew il tortello of old. It's sole and star dish back then was its truly great tortellini which I tried with a delicious sugo of wild boar. It's menu has diversified substantially over the intervening years. My partner tried the Picci with ricotta and courgette. Both pastas were delicious if a tad cold forgivable on a hot August night. Our overly charred spare pork ribs disappointed. We arrived early to visit the nearby sculpture park, the Giardino dei Tarocchi. The restaurant was quite hard to find, tucked at the back of an inner courtyard parking lot and not well signed. It was not open for service when we arrived. Never the less we were seated and served coffee and chilled mineral water, and as soon as the kitchen was ready, our orders were taken, about 40 minutes before the scheduled opening at 1245 hrs. The menu was quite extensive, (with a convenient English language version) with the traditional central Italian cuisine and featuring wild boar (cinghiale) in a variety of dishes.
