Vi ventede lang tid på at få lov til at bestille, og vi ventede længe på maden. Maden var kedelig. Eneste positive var, at vi fik gratis drikkevarer som kompensation for ventetiden.

Personal kühl - gerade noch nicht unfreundlich aber fast. Scheinbar gab es auch SprachbarrierenBuffetspeisen nicht warm, Brot zu wenig, Nachtisch nicht ausreichend . Geschmacklich Mittel- eben indisch scharfSchade denn wir kamen auf Empfehlung.

Meine Tochter und ich besuchten vor 2 Tagen das India House und waren sehr enttäuscht. Als Vorspeisen bestellten wir Samosa und Linsensuppe. Die Suppe war lecker, die Samosa kalt und alt. Anschließend gab es Lamm und Butter Chicken. Der Reis der gebracht würde war eiskalt. Das Chicken süß wie Honig und das Lamm war ungenießbar. Meine Tochter ist schwanger und traute sich nicht das Lamm zu essen. Wir informierten den Kellner und ließen Lamm und Huhn liegen, aßen nur von den Saucen und mussten über 50.- bezahlen. Als wir reinkamen wunderte wir uns warum kein Gast im Lokal war, bei der super Lage! Nun ist uns alles klar, leider!

Trotz teilweise kritischer Bewertungen haben wir es gewagt - und überhaupt nicht bereut!Freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service und ausgezeichnete Speisen. Das Mango-Chutney ein absoluter Traum, auch die Raita ist ausgezeichnet (keine Gurkenstücke). Besonders zu erwähnen ist die spezielle Karte mit wunderbaren Gerichten, die man nicht so schnell auf einer anderen indischen Speisekarte findet (diverse Pakora, z.B. Chicken, Panir etc., Panir-Salat, Auberginen-Gerichte, div Brote, z.B. Bathura, Chapati, etc). Toll ist bei passendem Wetter auch die Terrasse mit freiem Blick auf die Speicherstadt und das Wasser. Fazit: Bei einem Besuch der Elbphilharmonie - aber auch sonst als Restaurant äusserst empf...

...es war so gut gedacht. Um 17.00 Uhr zur Vorstellung in die Elbphilharmonie und anschließend in der Nähe speisen. also nicht lange gesucht sondern in der Nähe der Elphi das "India House" gewählt.Das war allerdings ein Fehler. Die zögerliche Bedienung am Anfang hätten wir als Frühwarnung werten sollen, dann wäre uns mancher Ärger erspart geblieben. Wir bestellten die "India-House-Platte Shahin" eine Flasche Wasser und baten um die Weinkarte.Es kam der zum Menü gehörige Aperitif Mango -Sekt, ein lieblos gemischter Mangosaft mit Sekt ohne irgendeine Spur von Coctail-Design. Aber okay - war ja auch so beschrieben. Die Gemüsesuppe war ganz in Ordnung. Ob der sogenannte Salat mit Ketchup-Dressin...
