"We were on our way from Spain to a friends wedding in Siena Italy, in a motorhome trailing a Hondy 125cc motor scooter. We had stopped off at a campsite in Antibes as it was one city in this area that we hadnt visited before, and spent the day on the Honda looking around the seafront and town of Antibes, and particularly Juan Les Pins. As usual we were getting hungry around 6 o'clock, and stopped at several French and Italian restaurants to see what was on offer - unfortunately nothing, as although most were open, none of them started serving food until half past seven. We decided that we would cut our losses and go back to the campsite to eat, and took off in the rough direction of where that was on a street we had not been on before, and lo and behold we see the 'Indian Food' restaurant, and its open. I am a huge Indian food fan and living in Europe that means I am often disappointed, as Indian Restaurants are not as common as in the UK, and catering for the European as apposed to British palate, the food is often quite bland and mediocre - I will however always give an Indian restaurant a try!The restaurant is clean and quite simply furnished with the kitchen visible from the seating area. The manager/waiter was instantly welcoming and presented us with a reasonably comprehensive menu in English - prices were very reasonable with starters at 1.50 - 5.00 euros and main courses from 4.50 - 60.50 euros (the latter Lobster Masala, 2 Pieces) - most main courses cost up to 7euros. We ordered Samosa's and Bhaji's, Chicken Madras, Chana Rice,,Chicken Biriyani, and were going to plump for a Keema Nan as our preferred Peshwari Nan wasnt available on the menu, but on hearing this the Manager said that they would cook us the Peshwari! I had an Indian beer and Sue drank water and we were given complimentary Papadums while we waited the short time until the food was ready. Undoubtedly one of the best Indian meals I have had on the continent of Europe - the food was both hot in temperature, and where appropriate, in spicing - the Bhajis and Samosas were crisp and flavoursome, the rice was fluffy and fragrant and the peshwari as fruity and tasty as these should always be. The Manager was attentive and friendly throughout the meal and at the end presented us with a bill for 34.50 euros. This no-frills restaurant is well worth a visit if you are anywhere within 20 miles of Antibes, especially if you get hungry outside of normal hours - it is open all day and will provide free delivery of Orders over 25 euros."
