"The restaurant of the Landhotel Klingerhof two miles away, our base, was closed and the receptionist recommended the Old Church in nearby Haibach, a pretty village in the valley below. It was almost full, and that at 7pm on a Sunday evening - a good sign! The place looked quite authentic, an impression re-inforced by the realisation that many locals were eating there. A friendly young waitress brought us a quite extensive menu in German only and we opted for a carafe of what we were told was a dry white housewine at a moderate price whilst we perused it. Neither of us found the wine dry and it was exchanged for another one without fuss, this time dry. I opted for the onion soup. My wife wanted a small tuna salad as a starter and sensibly suggested we should order our main course later, having seen the size of portions on other tables. My steaming soup arrived first, served in a big bowl; just as well it was so hot that I had to wait because it took some time for her salad to arrive. A starter salad? It was enormous, very fresh and delicious!Outgoing diners had to pass our table and we noticed that nearly all had a ‘doggy bag’ – it seemed to be taken for granted that most would be defeated by the amount of food and cardboard boxes to take uneaten food home were provided as if it was a matter of course.Our first course would have been enough but I felt a bit guilty, ordered some more wine, then agreed with my wife that we would order a Wiener Schnitzel (her choice) to be shared between us. A large plate with two schnitzels, French fries and salad arrived. We just could not do the contents justice (the food tasted fine!) and managed to eat just about a quarter between us. I had to explain to the waitress that there was nothing wrong with the food – on the contrary – and she immediately asked if we wanted a box to take the rest with us, an offer we declined.For two sizable first courses, basket of bread, a gigantic main course and ¾ litres of a very acceptable house wine the bill came to 34 Euros!...This was quantity paired with quality at a give-away price!"

"we were housed as a motorbike group in the rural hotel klingerhof and had luck to get another place in the tenne, as on the same day a high-time company, a 60th birthday and a large group franzosen were also in the hotel.When choosing the diners I saw big eyes at one or other, as these prices were more expensive for us. Nevertheless, everything was ordered across beet by the menu, in the hope that it also tastes as good as the price. I can only say that the price fits in any case. all supplied foods were very, very tasty prepared in large portions. my wife is still fascinated today (3 days later) by her food. we had a very nice evening here, even if we had to grab a little deeper into the bag. This is a good thing to do if the quality is correct. we would eat here again at any time!"

"On my trip to a seminary in the former monastery of Schmerlenbach I was there early, hungry and looked around for a return. It was located in the immediate vicinity of the Landgasthof Klosterschänke. So I parked my car right in front and returned. Access goes over a few steps, the toilets then lie on the same level. Guests with dogs should not have any problems, in a corner of the restaurant the dog of the operators lay on the floor, but from which there was hardly anything else to come. BEDING: I was kindly greeted and could choose a table. I got my menu, and the service gave the extra daily offer very detailed. It wasn't for me now, so it stayed with the map. There was not really something special now, except that the waiting time for my drink was just acceptable, but this is probably due to the fact that other guests came to whom the daily offer wanted to be explained. ESSEN: The offer is good-bourgeois and relatively compact (in contrast to the cards that really want to make it any right), but there are still the changing day offers and there should really be something for everyone. Especially since it is still partly the choice of sauces or A small modular system is available. I chose the pork larvae in pepper sauce with pumice and salad from the map. The latter came to me very quickly. I could just shoot the picture from the guest room. The salad was very fresh, various leaf salads, beans, carrots, herb with a vinegar oil dressing (definitively made). It was noticeable that the ubiquitous tomatoes and cucumbers missed, but for which there is no season. That sounded like a good start. Little later the main court came. The lends were nicely juicy fried with a very light rose in the middle. The pommes were from the bar, but outside of steak houses I actually expect nothing else. The sauce was at least partly based on CV, but with this amount on the plate it is not really different to solve. But after all, you didn't jump out of the plate like that and she tasted so much. The fun has tasted 13.20 euros. AMBIENTE: I don't find the ambience especially now, it's a bit simple and somehow the last kick has missed the cosiness. Especially since the open passage to the next room did not look nice. Other light, floor and partial device caused an optical break. But when you're here for dinner, it's not so important, but to see that I'm not a praising writer, but a critic, I'm here to record 3 stars. SAUBERKEIT: Nothing to complain, nothing found, not among the decorations or the toilet. So short and close to 4 stars. PLV: The place is not just central, so I did not feel the prices now as too cheap, but I am probably spoiled by the reasonable prices in my area. But still you have to see where you stay when you go with the family, for example. That's just 3.5 stars."

"We envy Haibach around this attraction. Perfect price-performance ratio, very tasty fresh food and the services and the cooks are therefore flink (without spreading hectic). Such a service and such a professional organization are no longer experienced. Here some gastronomy should look. Would also give 10 stars."

"Unfortunately, probably one of the last reviews! The place is closed see photo 1Very regrettable, the service is exelent, fast and friendly. Hundreds are allowed. The prices are (all other than written or expensive, it is because you are only used to eat really fair at a bimsbud. Payment with credit card possible. The quality of food, preparation and creativity of the presentation (Radieschen als Pilzschnitt.... Etc. Great! It was perfectly seasoned and costly, the meat was perfectly roasted or tasted at the point. Course for 5 stars without if and but unfortunately from June 2022 closed forever. It's nice that we could get back a shame that you might not be able to do it anymore. My advice, try to get there. The place we broke up selling the furniture. Shame!"
