"Not sure what happened today, been nice when been previously but food poor and poor attitude of management. I had potato skins for starter, very greasy and undercooked. My partner had soup and was cold. I had chicken marershala for main. Had big lumps of unmelted cheese and couldn't taste the tomato, chips were also hard. When complained to management he said you were first customers of the day and chef might not have been awake. Nice attitude. We won't be going back"

"As my friends and I are football fans, we come to Ogrady’s at least once a week to watch the match. We usually get food here too as the matches we watch are late kick off. Today, just like we do every other week, a few of us came to watch a match and have something to eat/drink. Within the first hour of us being here we spent a little over £50 on food and drink, and had planned on getting dessert and more drinks after our food had settled. Within approx. 10 mins of our plates being taken off the table by the waitress, the owner (i presume), a middle aged man, came over to us and started shaking his head and calling us ridiculous and said we had 5 minutes to order more drinks before he kicked us out as he “is having a busy night” and, i’m assuming, thought we just came to watch the TV and had not bought anything. One of our group tried to tell him we had just finished our food and had already spent a fair amount of money only for him to keep mumbling “ridiculous” and walk away from us.We are paying customers, and have spent a lot of time/money here over the past few months only to be called ridiculous and threatened to be kicked out (despite spending a lot of money already in the first hour of being here). For a grown man, his attitude was terrible and I cannot believe he would speak to his customers that way. Would not recommend."

"Believe it or not, this restaurant just saved my life on a chilly, dark autumn night when I was feeling hungry. As a traveler who knows no one in the area, I stumbled upon this place and walked in without a reservation. Thankfully, they had a seat available for me. The dishes they served were not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The curry (dish number 25) was particularly outstanding and truly made my day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Redcar. Service: Dine-in."

"I don't know why we didn't visit Cacau when we moved to Redcar it only took us four years to find out how good it is!!! We go there around every two weeks and their full English breakfast is terrific! Cooked to order, piping hot, great sausages and my favourite a free range egg with a runny yolk! The staff are friendly and very accommodating and the coffee is excellent. Can't recommend Cacau enough!"

"We visit this nice cosy friendly little pub quite regularly for drinks and sometimes food. Always a warm welcome with nice clean comfortable seats near a warm cosy fire. The bar hosts a decent pool table and dart board if you fancy a few games. The food and drinks here are very good and excellent value for money. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Is set in a very good location right next to the Cricket Club and a two minute walk to Majuba beach and Redcar seafront. I cannot rate The Lobster Inn highly enough. A huge thanks to all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They go out of their way to make sure your visit is a happy and delightful one. A pleasure to return to as always!!!!!"
