"Was dying for a decaf iced coffee and really liked the look of Jones' from outside when I had a nosey peer in. Very friendly welcome, quick service and the coffee was excellent! I really like the decor of the place as well, with the bright yellow walls, the fire place, the seats in the back the art and crafts on sale. Music was not 100% to my taste but added to the character of the place. Ignore the chains and go to Jones' for your coffee fix! Defo recommended!!"

Whilst shopping in Whitchurch around lunch time we decided to get some lunch, came across this cafe and decided to try it. Very welcoming and attentive staff, food good and reasonable price.

Lovely paninis. Unfortunately, for the fourth or fifth time in a row, the lady behind the counter managed to exude if not quite downright rudeness all the customer service skills of a slightly constipated Darth Vader. Visualizza piatti

Lovely random find on a quick pit stop in Whitchurch. Full of character, lovely staff with just about everything you need and more for lunch. You can buy most things from a box of eggs to jam and croissants. A great place to stop for a cup of tea or full blown lunch!

We were a party of 5 peoples and visited this Coffee Shop last Tuesday 11 July very nice friendly Staff nothing was too much a problem for them. We enjoyed Coffee and home made Pastries, very reasonably priced, they even did a take away for the Group. Will cal again in the future when next in Whitchurch. THANK YOU

Called today on the off chance for a late-ish lunch. Decided on the salad bowl with chicken and bacon and we were not disappointed. Plenty of topping and a nice salad with pineapple in (my favourite). Decaf coffee with hot milk was delicious too. Lovely little cafe with a nice ambiance. Staff very friendly too. Highly recommend and will definitely return. Visualizza piatti

I visited this cozy cafe on a Monday afternoon and was greeted by friendly staff. I ordered the soup and sandwich combo - one was a prawn salad sandwich and the other was Shropshire blue cheese with chutney. Both sandwiches were served with a delicious spicy tomato and chorizo soup. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning in the future.

When you walk past this coffee shop don’t be deceived, it looks small from the outside. Inside it is a bit of a tardis, there are three separate areas. I had a latte and a piece of carrot cake. The coffee was very strong and the carrot cake was very moist and delicious. The staff are very friendly and the service is very personal. At the moment I have to visit Whitchurch once a week, so this will be a regular pit-stop.

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
