Early feedback on James Nathan’s time has been largely favorable. My chicken was decent, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression; it lacked that wow factor. In contrast, my companions truly enjoyed their dishes, and we had high expectations going in.

We savored bottles of Chablis, Condrieu, an Oregon Pinot Noir, and Sauternes—all young yet delicious (after all, there were four of us, so no judgment!). Head chef Martin and sous chef Lydia are evidently on the path to greatness, so visit now before the word gets out and securing a table becomes a challenge. We can't wait to return—tonight would be just perfect!

If you're a true food lover and find yourself in Rock or close by, you absolutely must dine at the Karrek. It’s an incredible hidden gem. This was our second visit, and once again, it was fantastic—the food, the stories behind each dish, the service, and the wine pairings were all outstanding. It also offers great value for money. If you are a massive foodie and are in Rock or a drivable distance away, you MUST visit the Karrek for dinner. It is an unbelievable hidden gem. This was our second time and it was amazing once again the food, the stories behind the dishes, the service, the wine pairings were all incredible. Great value for money too. We will be back. Incredible! My wife and i dont normally like tasing menus as it can be very slow, a bit poncy and one still feels hungry afterwards! We ate at The Karrek though last night and had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing and OMG! It really was incredible. Each course was perfect, the wine couldn’t have gone better with the food, we received a proper sized glasses of wine each course so have a bit of a headache this morning, and the service was impeccable special thank you to Matild and your other colleague, we can’t remember her name, for looking after us and making the whole experience so enjoyable We are already looking forward to returning and couldn’t recommend the restaurant and staf... Absolutely fantastic! My wife and I usually aren’t fans of tasting menus because they can feel slow, a bit pretentious, and often leave us hungry afterward. However, we dined at The Karrek last night and tried the 6-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and it was simply exceptional! Each dish was exquisite, and the wine paired perfectly with the food. We enjoyed generous pours of wine with each course, which might explain the slight headache I have this morning. The service was impeccable—special thanks to Matild and her colleague, whose name we unfortunately can’t remember, for taking such great care of us and making the whole experience so enjoyable.
