"I already wanted to go one after katsouri deli, I went one past the window and a huge sausage caught me the eye. Since then, I knew I liked this particular delicate thing. too midday in the week this place is absolutely heaving. the employees are super efficient, they must be! that was not long. there is a series of options for lunch and an breakfast menu that contains an excellent full English. I had not made the full English, but his whole day available, so I took some care while I was on my delicious lunch, it looks like a hearty affair. So, for lunch you can have a full ciabatta or half a ciabatta with your choice...read more"

Was told that the “tap wasn’t working” in a perfectly fine running kitchen and told I couldn’t get a glass of water and had to pay £1.40 instead for bottled water, even though free water is a legal requirement.

katsouris is cozy and yet airy, a combination of deli and caffe. a good cross-section of the client-students, families, tourist and people on their own, who only want to read the papers, this obviously translated as something for everyone.' and it was safe.

I had a fantastic time at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the food was even better than I expected. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in search of a great breakfast or lunch with outstanding service. I have been back to this restaurant multiple times and they never fail to impress me.

A Mancunian legend! The only deli to dine at for lunch. We have just enjoyed a Greek meze (pack with fantastic cheeses, cous cous, sauces and vegetables plus an excellent Barcelona Sandwich of emmental cheese, chorizo and salsa plus 2 hot drinks for less than £13.00 This is the only place any self respecting Manc would be seen for breakfast or lunch

katsouris is a deli with tables. with my friend and we both had roasted chicken with salsa and salat from buffet, that was extensive. the great value...the selection from the salatbar includes dressed rakete salat, filled weeping leaves, boiled eggs, cousin....Last! it was busy, but we managed to pack a table that was cleaned very efficiently. everything in everything, very good!

had a late breakfast this morning and was convinced by the dame, which served to taste the breakfast a huge bap with wurst speck and ei. very tasty and with a cup of tea for just over five, directed me for the rest of the day. I was early for a meeting in st Anne’s square and went through deanesgate past various other chain store caffes pret, subway, terrace valerie etc. to come here and it is worth the effort to get something fresh and original in a local caffe.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
