"10 of us turned up at the bar at 8pm on a wet and horrible Saturday night. The lady behind the bar was so welcoming and to provide us all with bar food was no problem. She made us feel welcome and could not have been more helpful. (sadly I forgot to get her name) Food was lovely and all left clean plates.My father then decided to explore the main building. The night porter was so polite and informative. So much so, we are considering booking an apartment here next year.Polite and friendly staff that are a real credit to the place."

Nice place to have a drink and they serve good sandwiches at lunch time which is when we went. Staff very friendly, dogs allowed. Nice alternative to the Palm Court restaurant in The Grand above.

This Bar is on the ground floor of the Grand hotel and is open to all. We visited as we were staying in the Grand. The staff here are very friendly and helpful it was a pleasure to visit. Loved the chardonnay.Good selection of wine.

a somewhat unusual weeping. the grand hotel. quiet with a log fire and sea view. very good, friendly bar service. good selection of food. has not much life, but it is nice to go for a quiet eating and drinking. it's okay with kids and dogs.

we visited our friends' wedding celebrations tonight and we had a pleasant time. everything was presented beautifully, eating was delicious and the service was fantastic. the atmosphere was comfortable and we felt at home. the facilities were good.

In this lovely historic building, there are various spots to enjoy and relax. Keppels Bar is located on the ground floor of the impressive Grand Hotel. It offers cozy private and semi-private areas that cater to different moods, whether you're looking for a romantic evening or a fun time with friends.

The restaurant is a very welcoming and cozy place. It was exactly what we needed after a day of exploring the November seaside. The live music was a fantastic added bonus. The prices for the food were average, but the quality was above average. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning soon!

Keppels is rather special. It is a lounge with sofas and comfortable chairs next to a dining room. In cold weather there is a roaring log fire, and it is dog friendly. There are no pinball or similar machines and the clientele are mostly middle age to elderly. They sometimes have a live pianist playing quietly so it doesn't interfere with conversation. The food is Ok rather than spectacular and service is rather slow, but always very friendly.

Kepples is still my hidden gem, with its personal touch and attention to detail always leaving me impressed. The table service and generous portions make for a delicious meal, especially in winter when the cozy fireplace and hot chocolate are perfect for keeping the cold at bay. It's definitely worth a visit, as is the hotel where it's located, with its historic building and attractive amenities that have been drawing guests for quite some time.
