"We have visited this restaurant on each trip to Munich for a number of years and it is one of the highlights of our trip. The decor has changed completely since our last visit it is very nice, but so was the old one!...We got in and went up to bar to get noticed no-one greeting. Took ages to have anyone notice us. There were staff behind bar filling drinks orders, staff running in and out of kitchen but no-one raising their head. Eventually we got seated and got menus. So a lady came over to take our drinks order and we said we were ready to order food and drink and she didn't seem to understand and went off. And there we were for another age. Then a guy appeared over, said he spoke English and went to take our order. He may have spoken English but he certainly didn't understand it! He was only in restaurant a few nights and seemed to not know menu so each item ordered he had to take the menu from us and squint at it to figure out what it was. Funny for the first go but it got extremely trying especially as he took a starter order from then a full order from the next person and was getting us and him thoroughly confused. He was nodding as if he understood the orders until we realised we'd ordered the same dish times, one veg and with chicken and he'd totally missed that and we had to start again. We speak very little German and we don't expect that everyone can speak to us in English but if you tell us you can, you should at least be able to take an order. We also ordered a bottle of wine which was nearly impossible from him some of it was our mistake in asking him what was good, although we'd more or less decided what to get he got into a pure knot with it all and couldn't understand that we were going to order the one we liked rather than the (more expensive) one he was showing us. Off he went and came back a while later with our wine, poured it and then told us it wasn't the one we ordered as that was gone!! Off he goes again and we wait. We were in the restaurant an hour when our starters arrived they were really good tasted a few of them and all of them were great. Then we start the wait for our mains. One appears the veg on and it's put down and each of us decide to taste the sauce it's lovely. Next thing the waitress appears and takes it back and tells us it's wrong not sure what was wrong but think it may have had chicken in it our member was willing to keep it but no way!! Later all the mains arrived and they really were great. We've had so many great nights here so often it is disappointing that the service was so poor. I think I would try it again once more as we really do love it."

This restaurant is highly recommended! The bar staff and especially the young man were very courteous and friendly. Both the service and the food were very good. We like to come back.

We went there because it was convenient for us, place is nice and the dishes seemed good. A bit disappointed by the phratt thai which is normally a must have. If you miss this one, how can be the rest of the food? The meat...dish had more vegetables than meat... Not bad, and some flavour, but could be much better.

I had a dinner at Kun-Tuk, and the place is very cozy and very beautiful inside. I love the decoration of this place. The prices are not that cheap but I had one of my best Thai dishes I ever eaten. I took a...veggie Gaeng Phet Pak and I recommend this choice ! I want to come back just to try their other dishes. Kun-Tuk tries to be a little bit of everything but they can’t seem to be excellent in anything. Out of the four items we ordered, three were incorrect and had to go back. The waiter did confirm everything but somehow there was a communication breakdown...between his notebook and the kitchen. While the food turned out ok, it is definitely not worth the high price. There are other restaurants in Munich that have a better atmosphere and better prices. I wouldn’t suggest spending time or money here.

a dinner with dear friends, we came to the Kun-Tuk. a small local, so you should always book. the local is simply furnished, our table was for 4 people, we wanted to eat all too small. partly you sit on benches, for a longer stay not so cozy. it is loud and the services are spreading rather hectic, are also not very attentive. the food was brought in a few, who had ordered last, got to eat first. the table could have been cleaner, sticky rest probably still from the guests before. the food was quite ok, but not exceptional, but the prices for it were considerable. for reisnudel with huh 16,50 euro is out of mine for the local too much.The bill would throw us on the table without asking if we...
