"When we planned our trip to France, my 82 year old mother had only one request: to return to the restaurant that she and my father had visited together 18 years ago. She always referred La Bastide Saint Antoine as the best meal of her...life. In truth, I was just a little nervous to go back could it possibly live up to her memories after all this time? The answer is a resounding yes. We decided to enjoy the Sunday tasting menu of 6 or so courses accompanied by wine. Each course was such a delight and, like other reviewers, I can't find fault. It is pricey, $155 Euro pp, but it's a special meal after all. And the setting is gorgeous the courtyard with all of its flowers, the impeccable service, the sunshine, umbrellas, sculptures, families celebrating various occasions... just everything. Some helpful tips 1) there is valet parking so someone will take your car and whisk you out back to your table 2) come hungry you will not need to eat for the rest of the day ! 3) if at all possible, sit outside. Thank you for a wonderful experience...."

This is a truly extraordinary restaurant, a gem just a little bit away from the Riviera.

Pictures can be worth a thousand words, or they can be misleading! Unfortunately here we felt the latter. We were rather disappointed with our degustation

We had the lunch deal on Sunday for the three of us and it was such delicious food in a lovely setting underneath the trees. It was so pleasant and relaxing. The food was excellent and the service too. Highly recommend.

Very average dinner served on the terrace because the hotel was all consumed by a corporate dinner being served in the main restaurant Skeleton staff serving and quite obvious the kitchen staff were also otherwise occupied. Most definitely not Michelin star quality. We will not...return Visualizza piatti

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday. To our luck the weather was great. So we started our drinks in the garden and worked our way back inside to the restaurant to start our adventure of the 4 set menu prepared by the renowned chef.... What an amazing surprise of flavours . We early enjoyed every dish presented to us. The choice of wine with each dish was excellent.

Basically the food here is great (I think this was my third visit), but when I order a set menu, I expect the dishes to offer some contrasts and variety; this time I felt they resembled each other too much. Everything was permeated by a...rather dark, heavy flavor structure--not insipid, but monotonous after a while. Very professional service, good wines by the glass, comfortable dining room.

We wanted to find a Michelin-star restaurant in a charming environment with a nice terrace. This one ticked all the boxes. The food was great (we took the 5 course menu), the dishes beautifully presented. The garden and the view are really worth the visit....The service was a bit old school, not very engaged, and too formal, but fine. Some dishes took too long to reach us, so the service flow can be improved. The wine selection is great and the sommelier picked a very good bottle for us. In summary, the food was excellent so I highly recommend it. Visualizza piatti

Really disappointing . The service was faultless. Everything else was disappointing. We all had the menu decouverte . It was uninspiring and unimaginative apart from the final dessert which was beautifully presented and delicious. Amuse bouche cold and tasteless. Two mediocre starters that could have...been in any medium rate restaurant anywhere in the world. Then came two hot courses. First sea bass- ok but lacking flavour and served almost cold. Followed by veal that was so rubbery it was almost inedible. Wine not very chilled. bill was over 800 euros incl tip for 3- including one bottle of wine. Not worth even half that.

We have been to the Bastide St. Antoine numerous times over the last nearly years and have never been disappointed. There was a moment when the service no longer quite lived up to the pretences of this establishment, but on this last visit, everything...was impeccable, from the car valet through to the table service. If one wants to be picky, I would say the sommelier wasn't particularly helpful and the very friendly lady serving the dishes was slightly too eager (getting close to Mexican waiter style where they whip your plate away before you've swallowed the last bite). But that's finding fault on a very high level. Our lunch, taken on the beautiful terrace, was delicate and delicious in e...

"My wife and I ate at this 1* Michelin restaurant on the edge of Grasse in Maganos last night, and it is by far the best new discovery in the Côte d’Azur we have come across this summer. The restaurant is family owned and operated, featuring Sébastien Giraud as the head chef and his wife Madame Giraud as the maître d’. The location offers a beautiful view down through the valley of Grasse, and it is relatively quiet even though it is on a main artery into Grasse from the east. There are only 15 or so covers, and this – in my opinion – is a benefit to patrons both in terms of quality of food and service. The food was absolutely excellent. It is not fussy per se, but features local seasonal ingredients, which is obvious from the first dish. It is creative as well, but not in a way that gets in the way of the taste of the food. On offer is either a 3- or 4-course dinner, at prices of €39 and €55. For quality of the experience, this is outstanding value. Wines are readily available by the bottle or glass, with the latter offerings well-matched with the food and not “over-the-top” expensive. I had fresh tomato and crabmeat starter, followed by the turbot, then a smoked chicken in a lovely broth, and a marvellous finisher, opting for cheese rather than desert. The cheese was special, in that it was a creamy and rather light cheese mousse with summer truffles. All dishes are modest in size and prepared with seasonal (and locally-sourced) ingredients, garnished in a way that makes the flavours come to life. Nothing about the food was disappointing! The service was also excellent, with Mdm Giraud assisted by her very capable son in serving diners. Both French and English are spoken. There is no air at all about this place, which is casual and inviting. With outstanding food, excellent service, a pleasant ambience, and good value, Au Fil du Temp is one of the best finds in this region I have come across in some time, and I highly recommend it."
