La Cabane des Cinq Pineaux

I heard it was a new Italian place in town.we walked in at noon without a reservationno tables but we sat at the counter.

Very small but sympathic restaurant. We ordered the seafood plat and grilled lobster. The quality of the seafood is super fresh. I really recommend this place for a romantic tête-à-tête with the most incredible view.

This unique little restaurant continues to delight. You can't get nearer to the sea and you can't get fresher fish. Since my last visit they've added some more comfortable seating but that's all that's changed - thank goodness! Still the same perfect service and lovely menu. Wonderful.

We had lunch at this nice little restaurant. The place is simply fabulous: great food (a limited choice of mostly fish dishes), pleasant service and a romantic ambiance right by the sea. We sat outside with our 3-year old son and baby. The restaurant and its menu are not catered to young children but it all worked out fine.

This is a lovely little place (booking recommended) on the beach. We tried both starters- langoustines and fried squid very good. The mains depend on the fish available and are freshly made. We tried three different fish mains, avoiding the standard mules and fries ( which looked great with homemade fries) and weren't disappointed. Interesting taste and good quantity. The desserts are less of a treat.

This is a superb spot. The food is the best we've had in the area and initially it seems expensive but they are catering for a very small number of people and each dish is carefully prepared. Razor clams were top drawer and the mussels the best we've had. Get there early as even on a Tuesday it was filling up (in the main area there are only 5-6 tables of 2-5 pax each). Service is good and I am sure it would a very beautiful spot for sundowners or an evening meal. Les Vendees needs more of these small, high quality places. If anyone knows of others - please add!

I was lucky enough to discover this charming little restaurant shortly after it opened. What a find! It's just what I'm always looking for in a restaurant - a short menu of quality fresh food cooked lovingly and perfectly. The service couldn't be better - Anna seems to glide along the row of tables single handedly looking after everyone with good humour and attention. You'll find a little red blanket on the back of your chair in case the sea breeze is a bit chilly. Add a carafe of Rose and you have found your little piece of heaven on the beach. I just love it. This tiny beach taverna recalls the small restaurants of the Greek islands or South iItaly as you sit comfortably just in front of the sea in the lovely village of Sion. The menu is fairly limited--langoustines, bulots or calamari as entrees, and grilled fish with vegetables or mussels with frites for the main course. But all is perfectly prepared and delicious, served with style and lovely local wines ('Incroyable' was one of the best), and you enjoy the complete relaxation of the isolated spot. Rain was predicted the evening we arrived to our outdoor table. They had tried to call us but we unfortunately didn't get any message. We risked it for the sake of some good food, seeing as it was still dry when we arrived. Started by ordering drinks, most of which we initially chose were out of stock. We had a small plate of calamari too, which was tasty.
