Atmosphere great, value for money good . Like a wine store but you. An eat and drink wines from an extensive range.

Tucked away but worth the finding. Very nice feel and friendly staff. Food was very good and the chef took time to discuss the menu as well as Dr Who! All in all would recommend and return. Thanks

we ordered main courses of lamm and crousti poisson. both were beautifully presented and delicious. our server was very friendly and helpful. he was alone in front of the house, but still had time to check with everyone that everyone was okay. Excellent...service

this restaurant was a real sound. the menu was small but had a good choice and eating was absolutely mouthwater. in fact, the main meal was so good that we could not resist having dessert between us, which is unusual for us. we were not disappointed. we had a cocktail to start and a bottle of wine. the bill was at 88 €, we thought an excellent value for the quality of eating and wein. we will return if we are ever in the opposite.

we enjoyed a fabulous lunch here during our stay and were very impressed around the restaurant. the service was very friendly and welcoming and they had excellent wines/champagns through the glass menu and of course fantastic food. the highlight had to be...the bark smoked with the flaming thymian. the bark was exceptional and some of the best we ever had. the soße that she accompanied was also richly structured. we'll be back in any case!

We visited for lunch today and had the Menu du Jour which was stunning! I’m not a fan of cheese so asked for the Italian salad without cheese. Before serving the main course the chef came specifically to ask whether my request for no cheese...was due to a lactose intolerance as the main course sauce was made with cream. Individual friendly service that cannot be faulted. We also got to try the wines before committing to a glass/bottle. Thank you guys for a memorable lunch! If we are ever back in Saintes we will be sure to visit

what a jewel of a restaurant. my wife and I are real food and we stumbled over this restaurant while we explore saintes old town and look for lunch. eating is amazing and the front of the housewife was charming. the cook knows clearly what he does and you can watch him while waiting for the cheerful tasty bites! I had seabreams with risotto (see photo,) that was excellent with a taste that was exceptional. my wife had a little bite of chicken filled with crispy pancakes with paella. they enjoyed their meal too much. sure, that must be one of the best restaurants in saintes!

This establishment is a restaurant cum wine bar located somewhere in the back cobbled streets of Saintes. Limited lunch time menu consisting of a 3 course meal. The meal is very tasty and filling. Although the menu is set there is some room for manoeuvre,...we didn’t fancy the gizzards as a starter and the chef was happy to Russell up something different. Staff are very friendly and polite, they obviously have a good knowledge of wines and are happy to recommend a good accompaniment to your meal. All in all a pleasant experience in French dining and we will return here again.
