La Citadelle - Piatti

Visited this restaurant on a very busy night, but the food was first class, rustic good sized portions. Lovely atmosphere the waiterss was very friendly.

We had a very pleasant lunch here yesterday, the host was very welcoming and explained all options, we then enjoyed our meals with a lovely chilled Viognier white wine. Highly Recommended

of us visited Last Citadelle during a family holiday because it was recommended by the owners of the house we were renting. The staff were friendly and patient with our poor French and the food was excellent. Portion size was large to a fault....Desserts were the highlight of the night. Quite good value too.

Only high praise for this restaurant which serves food very much in the French tradition. Relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, a well-chosen range of dishes on the chalk boards and effective service are the foundations on which La Citadelle has added wonderfully well-prepared food .. and...with generous portions as well. We were recommended this place from the guy whose lake we're fishing at nearby and boy was it a top tip. We all raved about our lunch and the locally produced beer and cola we had with it. Friendly staff and customers, prompt service and...delicious food. We had between us the duck leg, pork filet mignon and a huge Veggie salad, it wasn't cheap but well worth it, and a vast selection of other tasty sounding dishes. Perfect location outside looking up at the impressive Citadelle.

A chance find on a bitterly cold November evening in a town we never intended to stop at but had no choice due to the yellow jacket protests. Good things sometimes happen for the wrong reasons! Friendly staff a nice ambiance greeted us...on arrival. Lentil sausage followed by bavette steak with saute potatoes really hit the spot. I finished with a triple desert not expecting them all to be virtually full size! Interestingly the waiter talked us down to a cheaper local wine which matched our choices really well! Thoroughly recommended.

I have used this restaurant on many occasions and I have normally had superb food and service. This time the food was not to the usual high standard, it was good and edible but just not exceptional.It was just dumped on the plate with no...attempt at style or presentation. The staff all seemed to be very young and inexperienced . The wine that was offered on the board stated it was a they then served a very young wine from which had very little depth or taste...this inferior wine was still the same price though! A disappointing evening as we had taken a leading international wine expert out to eat with us to a restaurant that had until this evening been excellent. I would not rush back to ea...
