"We stumbled on this location just by accident when we were on our way to Cancale. It was noon and we were hungry and looking for a place to eat. In Saint-Meloir-des-Ondes, Brittany, France , a short distance from Cancale, we spotted a restaurant nestled among a row of warehouses where oysters are processed. There were many cars parked outside the restaurant and decided to check it out. OH my God,“ I think we hit the jackpot when it came to oysters and seafood. The restaurant’s name was La Ferme des Nietes“. I have never had fresher tasting oysters than here. Apart from the oysters the rest of the seafood selection like Welks, crabs, shrimps and fresh fish prepared on a wood burning grill was just delicious . Unique about this place was the self service style of getting your food. You select what you want to eat, your handed a pager, you pay at the bar, purchase your drinks there also, go find a table inside or outside and after the food is prepared they buzz you on your pager and you go pick up your tray of oysters and other seafood you selected. After stopping here at La Ferme des Nielles, Cancale‘s oyster Markt was a bit of a disappointment for us since such fresh cold oysters , served on a tray of crushed ice we had here, could not be beat in taste and quality anywhere else in Cancale. Besides, this place is mainly an oyster processing plant where oysters are stored in saltwater tanks, processed and shipped out throughout Europe and the restaurant is a big part of the oyster selling business. Prices were reasonable. We had two dozen Fine de Clair oysters, No 2, a basket of Welks, 2 large crabs, 6 giant shrimps, 2 grilled Fish with veggies and a bottle of white wine for 92 Euros. You also get two rolls with butter on any order you select. Out of seven days visit to this area we ate oysters at this establishment six days in a row. Can‘t wait to drive 1,280 KM from Germany again to La Ferme des Nielles just for the fresh oysters. Bon Appetit!!!"

Produits frais , idée original de faire soit même son plateaux de fruits mer , très bon produit a manger sur place ou a emporter , nous on a fait les deux !!

Le concept est à revoir, service à faire soi-même mais alors l'attente de la cuisine est très très très longue. Une heure pour 12huitres et des moules! Trois long même en vacances!

découverte très originale de part son concept, on choisit ce que l'on veut manger, on a tout devant les yeux et en plus tout est frais.....que demander de mieux ? le personnel est très acceuillant et sympathique ce qui ne gache rien. allez y vous ne serez pas déçus.

Outside of Cancale amidst the oyster farms. Choose and pick from an assortment of wonderful fresh delights which are then weighed and passed to the shucker. Super déjeuner à la Ferme des Nielles le lundi 7 août (mais ce n'est pas une première pour nous !). Nous avons, une fois de plus, apprécié les fruits de mer (un régal !). Jamais déçus ! Accueil chaleureux, sympatique, dans la joie et la bonne humeur. Tout ce qu'on aime ! Un excellent moment !

Vous entrez, vous choisissez votre table et votre menu. Vous allez voir le "serveur" et vous confectionnez votre plateau de fruits de mer avec lui un peu comme au marché.Tout ce qui doit être cuit se prépare pendant que vous dégustez vos fruits de mer et on vous prévient lorsque c'est prêt.Accueille super sympa, bonne ambiance ....

Il vaut mieux prendre le poisson du jour ou bien le plat car les fruits de mer sont très chers,... même à emporter!L'accueil est imprévisible: parfois top, parfois... hum! Il y a mieux dans les environs, mais on peut s'y arrêter quand même pour la vue et l'agrément de pouvoir manger dehors. Pour moi ce sont les prix pratiqués qui clochent... Visualizza piatti

Acheté huitres et pattes de tourteaux à emporter, les huitres étaient bonnes, correctesquant aux pattes de tourteaux elles étaient proches de l'immangeable. mauvais goût, mauvaise odeur, cuites à l'eau même pas salée, infectes, nous nous sommes retenus pour ne pas les jeter, à 15€ le kg on s'attendait à autre chose. Habitant la région nous n'y retournerons plus

Habitant dans la région, nous passions souvent devant cet établissement et enfin nous nous décidons un soir. Grosse déconvenue : malgré une façade très engageante et plutôt classe, il s'agit en fait plutôt d'une poissonnerie où on peut consommer ses achats sur place. La salle est une vieille ferme vétuste dans laquelle on a aligné des tables sous des néons parcourus de toiles d'araignées et de poussière.Passé cela, l'accueil est très agréable, on nous explique le fonctionnement du "self service" (ici, pas de service en salle, le client pourvoit à se besoins tout au long du repas) : les clients choisissent sur l'étal les fruits de mer et composent intégralement leur plateau. "Extremely disappointed for several reasons 1. It was pretty cold in the restaurant at night and some people had to keep their coat all night 2. Servers were inexperienced and not "chaud/chaleaureux" 3. But the most disappointing is that the meat (which was cooked for 36 hours) was extremely dry (it should melt in the mouth) and almost not eatable, and when we spoke to the waitress in a very polite and gentle way, it just said 'OK' and we never saw it again. Not even a word like we're sorry or we'll talk about it with the leader. 4. In the end, we paid too much for what we ate and the service we have. This does not deserve a Michelin star, but rather a star "google magazine," I see that there is a doubt about the authenticity of this criticism. We had dinner on 10/12/2021. It is strange that you now answer that you would have increased the heating and that you care about it, because when we said that some foods were not going, no one was worried, listened and answered.
