Good address. a plaque full of good things, based on fresh products. associations of taste and origin. Just delicious.

Worth leaving the palace and gardens for this little eatery. Vegetarian and vegan lunch options were delicious. Menu is small but this wasn’t a problem.

It is always a pleasure and a pleasure to stop at 38 of the street carnot, every noon of 12h/15h and without reservation. products, kitchen and quality reception. the eater, a real address of choice with worms. beautiful year 2020!

simple and fresh cuisine, small dishes like tapas plate, we can taste a part for two, a lot of flavor, let's still make the chef, the service, a dish super the grilled octopus, when we know the difficulty to make it.To book in advance very few places.Thank you again.

After visiting Versailles we decided to stay for dinner in town instead of heading back to Paris. I am so glad we did. The dinner menu was all tapas style. As we ordered, the chef would make it right behind you where you could watch in the kitchen. All the plates we tried were fresh, creative and so delicious. The service was friendly even though we didn’t speak French.

the eater is the restaurant to discover on Versailles. The kitchen is tasty, homemade with great products. The map changes all the time. There is no much choice but it is a fresh product pledge:)The reception is as well as the kitchen! wines are excellent and prices more than affordable. On Friday it's tapas evening but in short version if you haven't tested yet, go to the closed eyes quickly:)

Place with a “bobo” touch with “sometimes” (according to the sign) organic food. Cold welcome. “Why do you want to change tables!?” The place was empty and we wanted to sit away from the door. “No that table is not possible” (typical French impossible) Plates are meant to be for sharing, but not easy to share: purée, ratatouille, one octopus tentacle... Small plates for 9 to 10 euros. “People order between 5 or 6 for two to start, then you can order more” After ordering 4 average tasting plates and 2 ok wine glasses, did not feel like ordering more. 52€ and left hungry. Only smile we got is after we paid. Would not recommend.

We could not have asked for a better place to grab lunch: service was friendly, food was excellent, and the ambience was just the low key environment we wanted to be in. Located in the center of Versailles, approx. 5 to 10 min from the Palace, La Mangette is a small restaurant that can seat at most twenty guests. Catering to locals, the restaurant offers both dine in and takeaway service. Arriving just before 2.00 pm on a Tuesday, we easily found a table. The menu changes daily, with the daily main being a delicious lamb dish served with quinoa and collard greens. Lunch for two, including wine and coffee came out to approx. €50. In short, we would not hesitate to return!

After a day in Versailles there is no better way to relax in this cute gem found in a quaint neighborhood of Versailles. It’s fab to be able to taste modern interpretations of French food in a tapas style which included delicious fish rillettes with black garlic, grilled octopus was outstanding! Every mouthful we just wanted to mop up with our bread. We had a lovely pizza, frittata and ended with a roasted apricot and buckwheat cake dessert with rosemary cream which was a very interesting combination.
