"This place is the very definition of a hidden gem. A family run Italian restaurant with a small, but excellent menu. We went with friends for my son’s twelfth birthday and had a fantastic time. The pizzas in particular stood out, although the starters were...also great. The booze free tiramisu brought as as an unasked surprise for the kids to share with the birthday boy was a special touch and was devoured before the adults could even get a nibble. For sure a future regular both for eat in and takeaway. Be aware it is BYOB, but that’s no bad thing either."

"Belly Busters used to be run by some great people who remembered the regulars and cheerfully treated customers well. Portions were huge, quality was OK to good and prices were reasonable so it was great value. I'm not quite sure of the exact timings, but the place seems to have changed hands a couple of times over the last year or so. The current staff look miserable, grudgingly greet you and turn their back on you. A year ago the Family Special could feed three adults comfortably and four at a bit of a push for £15. Now the same product struggles to feed two for the same price. The Doner doesn't taste quite as good as it used to, the Chicken doesn't taste quite the same and the salad was not the freshest. This was not helped by the fact that despite separate tongs being present for each salad element, I saw the server use the same set for all of the salad elements more than once. Surly Staff, drastically reduced portion sizes, quality suffering. Everything points to Belly Busters going rapidly downhill. And that is sad to see."

"I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a birthday with my partner. It was our second visit to the establishment, the first being in November 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The service initially started off well, with a warm greeting upon arrival, reminiscent of our first visit. However, as the evening progressed, the service from the wait staff deteriorated significantly. We had to actively signal for staff members, with only a 50% success rate in getting their attention. Despite ordering a second round of cocktails, they never arrived after a 20-30 minute wait, as it seemed we had been forgotten about. I eventually had to flag down a busy worker to request the bill and inform them to remove the second round of cocktails from our order. After promptly settling the bill, we decided to leave. It appeared that the restaurant was more relieved to see us go than to have another table to serve. It was evident that they were severely understaffed on a Thursday/Friday night - one would assume they would have enough help on a busy night like that. This second experience was a complete contrast to our first visit. I am unsure whether I will return in the future. Service rating: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40-50"

"Nice food, steaks are good value if you go on a Tuesday. Service not great, staff fail to check if you require more drinks etc during meal. Drinks are very expensive, wine is overpriced and being charged £2 for half pint of soda water is outrageous. Overall, a tasty meal, just be prepared to have your wallet emptied for drinks. "Thought we would give the place a try as stopping at a hotel close by. Arrived, no booking, shown to a table. Ordered a couple of pints of Everest and a coke. Sometimes the beer is a little hit n miss but the Everest was quite a nice drop. Lively with a taste akin to Budweiser. Ordered the pops n dips excellent. Starters were the staple onion bhagis chicken skewers and chicken livers (see photo) all arrived quickly and were very tasty. Mains were 2 tikka masalas (very adventurous) I ordered chefs special the Piro Kukhura (medium) which is a diced chicken dish which at a medium got the pulse racing. Really nice n tasty. May risk a hot next time but guessing that may be beyond my capability. Garlic naan pilau rice for 3. Great food. Great setting. Good service. No problem returning. My first try at Nepalese cuisine but not my last. Busy little place which is seldom a bad sign. I intend to return when next in the area."
