"This place was probably the highlight of our dining experience in Alicante. Good honest Spanish food and amazing service. We left at the end of the evening with smiles on our faces having enjoyed the food and the fact that we had been made so welcome with our (very) limited use of the Spanish language. We opted to eat from the tapas menu and it was all great, accompanied by a never ending supply of bread. The highlight was the minced black pudding (morcilla), it was just amazing when spread on the crusty bread. The house red, served in a blank bottle was lovely and the price for such a great night was less than 40 euro !!"

clean, well-lit restaurant and pleasant ambient music in low tone and nothing annoying. homemade food, delicious, generous amounts and affordable. good service, friendly, cordial and well advised. good Spanish products. I recommend it.

It is always difficult in touristic cities to find good and traditional food. For this, La Matanza is a good choice, with reasonable price. Service is excellent and attentive (one of our plate was too spicy, it was changed immediately ... with a smile). Congratulations to the waiters. Meat (especially the cordero asado) is delicious. A good choice !

spectacular restaurant, of the few that remain you put tapa decente. very good meats to choose from. menu varied and ratio quality price spectacular. Good wine letter. if you want to see football totally recommended, this condition for it with giant screen and several televisions. and if you want a quiet plan you have another area to eat away from the bar. excellent staff treatment. of the best of alicante.
