La Piazza - Menu

We stayed in Wetzlar for days and ate here times! There's something for everyone. My favourite is the Ribbon noodles with Salmon in a Lobster cream sauce! Delicious!

This restaurant is truly a marvel. Food and its careful preparation , the warm service and its location are really something a Wetzlar visitor should not miss. Italian , real Italian , food at its best. I visit Leica Company often and I have eaten...at La Piazza , with my wife and friends , about ten times, Super.

As the title describes, we arrived late, got a great table outside, service is friendly, recommendations were excellent as well, everything tasted extremely well, we didn't have to wait long, the staff was quick with drinks and we enjoyed our evening here. At the end...we received a round of shots on the house. Can only recommend it.

visited here with a colleague whilst on business. nice atmosphere and décor. I opted for the sea-food pizza but received a salami, artichoke, olive and onion pizza. I was hungry and it looked and smelt good so didn't bother mentioning it. It was very good...and I enjoyed it. my colleague when for a pasta dish with bacon which also looked very good. Service was a bit slow but not unmanageable. would return if in the area.

The food is just perfect. Whether you chose meat, fish or pasta: everything is really tasty, good spices, cooked at the point. The menu has a broad variety of meat, fish, pasta and pizza. Also they have creative daily offerings (e.g. Iberican pig, pasta with...lobster, .. The sizes of the plates are really good. It is fair value for the money you pay. Absolutely recommendable, you will not find a better Italian restaurant in Wetzlar or Gießen!

We visited on a Sunday evening and the outside garden area was full so we sat inside. We could see how many dishes and drinks were waiting to be taken out to customers, lots! There were not enough waiters and those that were there kept...being interrupted by customers wanting to place an order or pay. We had to wait at least minutes to place our order. The food was good but took quite a long time to arrive. A place best avoided if you are in a hurry or want a relaxed ambience.

Wetzlar’s restaurants all seem to shut down on Monday. This one doesn’t but when we went on a Monday evening it was full. So we were lucky to get a table. Lesson book in advance. Despite this, the service was pretty fast once you...had caught the waitress’s (proprietress’s eye to get attended to. The food was nicely served. Funny, seating, service and food were all fine and there was nothing at all to complain about. But somehow all this efficiency seemed to lack any warmth. Maybe you need to be a regular.

I visited quite late on the evening, when there were only a few tables occupied. I ordered tomato bruschetta-this was acceptable; not good, not bad. For amin course, I wanted to try the taglietelle with truffled mushrooms or with salmon and the lobster cream sauce....The waitress told me they were bth good so I chose the mushrooms. With a glass of Montipulicano, this was perfect. Bon Appetit. The service was good. Mild criticism in that they wanted me to pay cash but brought the card machine out when I insisted.There were lots of pizzas and standard Italian main courses available. The pizzas looked excellent.

We were visiting Wetzlar as my wife was working in Marburg and needed some lunch. I had hoped that we could eat at the Fest on Kornmarkt but had a contingency. And that was La Piazza, who were doing the Kornmarkt catering anyway. I read...the reviews and the only negatives seemed to come from groups. Firstly, the interior is VERY tasteful. Modern Italian with a touch of country déco but most pleasant. The food too was superb my wife's country pasta was scrumptious and there were no problems about getting spaghetti with butter and Parmesan for my son. My pizza base looked a little mass produced but had actually clearly been freshly-made. There was also an excellent choice of wines. The waitre...
