"Es la primera vez que voy a comer y me ha gustado mucho .el restaurante es grande y estaba repleto ,hay muy buena atención e higiene. Primero me he pedido una sopa castellana que estaba riquísima y de segundo carne de lidia en salsa con patatas fritas ,por poco reviento!!! De postre flan de huevo se notaba que era casero todo y un menta poleo para bajar un poco la comida. Todo por 13€. Repito sin dudarlo!!"

Called in for an evening meal but were disappointed. The food was reasonable, but the ambience non existent. The waitress watched us all the time, very odd.

"The experience was magnificent in every way. First of all, the restaurant is in a location where you can park very close to the door. In our case, it was appreciated because of the heat it was. Once there the attention was very good at all times. We were then brought our drink (very cool) and an appetizer of creamy cheese with a spicy twist. Very good, with a texture similar to a very creamy butter. For lunch we ordered 4 dishes to share. First, a brioche of beef carpaccio and foie gras with lime mayonnaise and flakes of cheese. The carpaccio was very tender and the brioche was slightly crunchy. And the flavor of the whole is spectacular: a very good combination of the butter from the brioche with the flavor of the meat and the mayonnaise. Then a venison jerky with fried almonds and a little oil. Also very good flavor and the combination with almonds. Perhaps this was the most ordinary dish of all. The third course was an ingot of foie with rum plum cream, hazelnuts and roasted (coffee). A very original dish both for the presentation and the taste. The ingot was golden on the outside and the foie was stuffed with plum cream with rum. The combination with the different creams gave the dish more play and they all combined very well with the ingot. And finally some meatballs with a very soft sweet potato and celery cream. The meat of the meatballs seemed a little drier when we cut it, but the combination with the creams was very good. In addition, the meatballs came with a sauce that sweetened the whole. As the portion was to share, they brought it to us plated in two halves. Another great detail of the good attention. Finally, the waiter offered us in advance if we wanted an apple tatin, since it took a little time to prepare. We loved finishing with this dish: a good puff pastry but above all a spectacular baked apple cream and well accompanied with a creamy ice cream. In short, a round experience in all the details, both the attention and the cuisine. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We were humming down the amazing A5 autovia, halfway from Madrid to Carceres in a rented SUV when we got hungry. A service-station stop had a restaurant with an unappetizing menu and steep prices, so we kept going on and saw an ancient castle on the left, so we decided to check it out. Miraculously, we arrived in the Plaza del Navarro just as another car was pulling out of a parking space, so we took the space and hopped out to stroll by the restaurants. The menu at Meson Carlos seemed to be the most interesting – if a little expensive. So we sat down on the terrace and proceeded to be stunned by the superb quality of their food. The service was countryside relaxed – no need to rush here, although the place was pretty busy and food seemed to be simply flying out from the kitchen. The beer was good (and welcomed! and a generous glass of dry house white was solid. The avocado salad (15 euro was simply amazing – and huge. Besides what seemed to be two chopped avocados, the dish was flavoured with fresh figs, cheese, tomatoes, olives and three different types of lettuce. All of which was likely fresh from the garden that day. The seafood soup was a sumptuous meal in itself featuring all kinds of delights from the Mediterranean in a delicious broth. We had a basket of nice fresh bread on the side (no charge and as the road beckoned, coffee seemed to be in order. A good thing, too: their coffee was outstanding!"
