Walking along the waterfront checking out the location of the fish market which was happening the next day we can across a collection of four diners. This one looked the most fun and the posted menu looked very appealing. Inside were social benches and an Italian decor. It was late at night and the Euro Cup was on. Perfect: game, food and wine! We very much enjoyed our pasta meal, but we also enjoyed the personalities of the staff. It is a good sign when the staff all came out and had a meal of their own food while watching the game too. This is a great place to eat, to visit, and to socialize.

We have had very good fish at other restaurants in the area and we go to Italy once or twice every year. This restaurant is no substitute for going to Italy. It will give no “Lust auf Italien”. On the contrary. The food is mediocre...and not like in Italy. The pasta dish, they serve pasta as main dishes here, was way to acid. Probably caused by very cheap bad quality canned tomatoes. The main, a scampi dish, was way to salty. You couldn’t feel the taste of the scampi or the other ingredients. The problem is probably that they pour over lots of bad quality salty black olives that when heated loses a lot of salt into the dish. The scampi dish was also a bit pricy for what I got.
