Lakeside Pub Grill - Menu

The restaurant was stunning inside and the staff were amazing, the only problem they had was missing item's on the the menu, such as some desserts and sides, the views are beautiful and the food tasted lovely.

Had a lovely meal with my family last night. First time here. We had a lovely welcome. The staff were friendly and we're working very hard. We had a perfect table too. Ideal for our son with severe autism. We will be back when we next stay in the area. Thank you so much.

Had a wonderful spontaneous family breakfast (first one since before lockdown). The food was beautiful, well cooked and very fast. The lovely waitress Vicky even made it easier for me and took our order at the table as she could see I was disabled. Really great meal and service. Highly recommend.

My family and I visited on the 29-11-22. We were greeted by the host Kerry who showed us to our table, she was extremely polite when taking our order and our drinks came swiftly after. The food came out well presented and piping hot by Jake and William. It was absolutely delicious and all of us had clean plates i highly recommend a meal out here. A massive well done x

Poorly prepared food. The fish came horribly broken and cold after 1 hour of waiting. The solo chicken burger came this way with no salad, just one piece of meat that was horribly overcooked and cold. The fries were scattered on the plate, but they were actually for another person from our company..... It's a pity for the beautiful nature, the restaurant is not good and I don't recommend it.

Thanks team for a lovely evening and meal at the Lakeside. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks and the service was exceptional. A special shout out to Calum who made us feel very welcome. He served us very promptly, made some great menu recommendations and made sure we had a bowl of custard each for our shared dessert! He even brought over a bowl of water for the dog and gave him a special treat! Thank you for your kindness and hospitality Calum.

I never leave reviews but this is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been too! The cleanliness of this restaurant is actually appalling (even might report to EHO). There is litter everywhere, toilets are flooded with toilet tissue and even inside the restaurant is cluttered with litter. Then we come onto the food, it was all burnt and ingredients missing. Drinks: the cokes were just brown water and all the glasses were filthy. I would completely understand if the staff were crazy busy, but they were stood having inappropriate conversations whilst the entire restaurant looked like a bomb had gone off. Do not waste your money on this dump.

Start with positives. Food was good and the waitress couldn't have done more to help. She checked in with the football scores and gave me a very nice helping of custard with my pudding. To her I say thank you, sorry I can't remember your name. Down side, I don't think the manager really wanted any customers. We walked in and she said because we have no booking there is no room... half the tables were empty... but fair enough. We went on the app and managed to book a table for half hour later and we walked straight in. Surely if its bookings only and she wanted the custom then she would have suggested booking on the app for a bit later and you can eat. So sorry we were a burden to you.

This review is after years of visiting and observation....their food is pretty much spot on, but their service is questionable, especially during Summer months when its the busiest times as it seems that they cannot cope with the high number of customers.......the high number of customers is not the problem, its the lack of staff numbers is the issue and their lack of enthusiasm to help customers! (N.B. When you come during busy times, expect your food to be served to you in 45 mins and it will be COLD!
