"yes, in the did both were available as starters in the le chaudron restaurant; the crème brulée with salmon and the apfelstrudel with foie gras at the first opportunity we visited. my partner enjoyed the salmon and parmesan brulée, but I choose the chicks gratin with. a busy dressing. at 12 and 10 euro these were aimed at the higher priced starter available. we were three in the party and the nets that were chosen were the wild wild boar, the pork filet mignon and skallops with nuts and a Hawaiian butter sauce. these were all very well cooked and very tasty meals and enjoyed by ourselves. the prices were 22 or 23 euro, which led to the higher end of the cursor prices. we could have chosen from the local specialities of raklettes, fondues or tartiflettes and all sit too similar. the net was so filled that my partner doggy hers bag for another meal at home, so we did not have any capacity for each of the desert or cheese at 6 to 9 euros. So, not the cheapest eat in montchavin then and probably not the most expensive. the incidents that soon increase the total cost of a meal were actually very sharp price, from a 2 euro cup tee or coffee to a 4 euro pastis. (compare to a pist-side caffe with 3-4 euro per for tee or coffee [6 euro in courcheval! . the liqués were equal at 4 euro each. it is the wine list, where the restaurant can increase its profits and the cheapest bordeau or gamay was 18 euro with trips in direction 30-35 euro a bottle. In summary, the aperitif, two appetizers, three nets and a bottle of wine brought the bill for three to one, service included, 110 euro. we had it – yes; we would come back – almost safe, but, yes, it is a bit higher than we would have preferred. this must be matched to the fact that it is located in a mountain village with a short season both in winter and summer. a year later we came back and the food was as good as before and the prices were very much the same. my wife and I shared a pierrade with 24 euro and could not end it because there was so much food and it was a good price for 4 ounces (100g each of us, kangeroo and truthahn. we couldn't finish the steakhouse chips and the salat never got a look into the face. again we were very satisfied with the meal for the money."

Très bon restaurant proposant une cuisine traditionnelle avec un service top ! A faire sans hésiter avec surtout le dessert en terrasse avec le coucher de soleil dans les montagnes...!

beautiful meal, helpful and friendly staff. recommend the fondue, the pork and the hot plate. had 5 children with us and they all loved it. only on the bottom they were incredibly busy and needed the table back after 2 hours.

close to the chalet de la vanoise, weds night chalet free at night, so we were booked here by our hostes and enjoyed beautiful savoie tea and wine. the wild wild wild boar, tartiflette, salty caramel desserts and gamay vin rouge. great service sp of. gail

l'exemple type d'un restaurant qui mériterait miieux mais qui souffre du manque de professionnalisme de son personnel. Des gens qui ne connaissent rien au métier, qui font ça comme bosser chez Mc do et qui nuisent à cette cuisine soignée et inventive, quel dommage

Everything is said! the best restaurant in Montchavin! both for the reception, the service and the plate. The dishes are copyy and fine, from raclette to Thai salad to Provencal crumble, we were guided by servers to the top. ps: if you are lucky to fall on an evening where there is peanut caramel pie take in 2!

We ate here with a group of 16 (4 families) on our chalet hosts' night off. Good food (we tried pasta/burger ribs/wild boar/duck) and good desserts as well as the usual options for kids but nicely done. We also made use of the free navette service to and from our accommodation.Overall a good meal enjoyed by all.

We went there in the middle of a caricle for dinner. really not disappointed, despite the strong heat that reigned in this non-climatized chalet. Despite that, the ordered dishes were excellent. on the menu: raclette, fondue savoyarde, nuggets (real pieces of chicken) and tartiflette. Everything was very good.The very nice server. The genepi was offered at the end of the meal, which was very appreciated. I recommend

Last year we had the most amazing meal at Le Chaudron. It was so good, our teenagers were talking about going back all year. This year, the food is still nice, but not quite as good. The atmosphere is a little less homely and a bit more impersonal. There were a lot of little things that made it less enjoyable. There was no plate for the cooked meat from the 'Hot Stone' meal and a bucket of frites for the tables. The young waitress was out of her depths and that made service slow and erratic. You can still have a nice meal here, but we no longer dream about the amazing 'Le Chaudron'
