Le Garde Robe - Piatti

Came by for a cold meat and cheese board with some wine for dinner. Classic Paris wine bar with a great atmosphere, a must do

Staff were so rude, offered v cold red wine and when we were asking about it got a rude and awkward response from staff. Would not go back.

What a great place. Fabulous selection of wines by the glass, all biodynamic products.. Good news that it's re opened for lunch. Super atmosphere most evenings full of locals..

Wonderful selection of wines. Delightful owner full of charm but very mean with wine! 8 glasses (small, in fact very small) 54 euros!!! Good selection of cheese and bread whicjh we didn't sample

We had a group of seven so were seated in the basement - which is a wine cave. Great big farm style table surrounded by racks of wine. The selections of wine were great and very reasonable. First came le garde robe, and the rest followed... the first and still the foremost bar a vins nature (though there is now a nice inclusion of some more mature bordeaux and top burgundy... busy so get there early. Staff sometimes a little rushed of their feet..!Great atmosphere but perhaps an upgraded stereo system wouldn't hurt...:)

We are in search of wines without added sulfites or tannins and so we enjoyed sampling a selection of French natural/organic wines. We found that it is an acquired taste and we need more time. Europeans allow the addition of sulfites and tannins, unlike the US. The server was polite and accomodating, the bar itself a rugged but comforatable space. It's worth a visit but only if you're an natural/organic wine connoisseur.

First visits April 2017. Located across the street from the hotel, a visit was paid to Le Garde Robe one evening for a glass of wine and charcuterie. The wine selection by the glass was quite limited, 3 reds and perhaps 3 whites, but yielded an excellent Loire Valley red that was a steal at E6. The charcuterie and cheese plate was also quite good - fresh and tasty and quite generous in proportions. The staff of two came across as sarcastic but seemingly genial, and the teasing about admittedly poor French was taken as good natured (and admittedly deserved). A return visit the following evening for another glass of the fantastic wine revealed the true demeanor. Ignored for some time, the staf... Visualizza piatti
