"Delicious food, very reasonably priced. We really appreciated the friendly and helpful service from the waitress who went out of her way to cope with our very limited French. The duck leg confit was to die for."

"This used to be one of our favourite local restaurants, so we booked to celebrate a wedding anniversary on Saturday 15th June, not knowing that it was under new management. We were not staying in the hotel. We ignored early warning signs (waiter with his...shirt hanging out, tapenade with a tiny amount of bread to spread it on which was then whisked away) and ordered three Menus €45.00 each, expecting a gourmet experience. The starter of goat's cheese with vegetables came on a base of puff pastry that tasted like it was straight from the supermarket dry and unimaginative. Both tables nearest us had hotel guests who were staying there and both were very unhappy. When our Magret De Canard avec Sauce Au Poivre main course arrived, the duck was so raw it was almost quacking, there was no sauce to be found and the same dry vegetables from the starter made a second appearance alongside some haricot beans. My daughter had ordered a glass of white wine and promptly had hot flushes, nausea and stomach pains. At this we point we cut our losses and asked to leave, paid for our (overpriced) bottle of local red wine and our starters at full price. End result: no supper and a ruined anniversary! The new management are charging 3 star prices for 1 star service and quality. Never again! I think a restaurant should be obliged to point out that it has changed hands to avoid this kind of disappointment."
