"As you may have read in my other review about Restaurant Le Surf up the road which was a terrible experience La Plage Cafe was the polar opposite. Great burgers at a good price. Every where else in this village seems to be about over charging as much as they can however here didnt. Great big juicy burgers and home fries all for around €8 or less, the best value food around. The service was actually done with a smile too, most establishments in Hourtin Le Plage seem to have had a bad personality transplant however here they actually one seemed to care and secondly smiled whilst doing it. I never imagined I would ever write that a burger cafe was the best food I had in France during my week long stay, however I feel so let down by everywhere else in the village, this is a worthy holiday winner."

"restaurant near the sea to see the sunset (if we are well placed.) the map is tight, the dishes are correct as well as the rates, really reasonable. Don't expect gastronomy, but we have it for our money. Dynamic server, order, dishes and desserts are quickly linked. Attention the restaurant does not take a reservation if there are less than 10 people. Think about coming at 7:00 if you want with a table without waiting."

"If there is a restaurant to do at the beach of Hourtin, including the grill not to mention it! First, the choice is limited MAIS that makes the art of a cook! We can't do everything, a small card is a quality pledge. The presentation is applied, in accordance with prices, home sauces are sublime and agreements are excelled (see beet and cheese). Taste a delicious snack or a homemade fish and chips without forgetting a burned cream to conclude! The staff is great, soon!"

"After sitting on a wooden table in a picnic way, the server offers us a big, big, gigantic map where they offer everything and especially holy jacques (5 or 6 exactly.) for 32€ !?!?!?!?!?! pissed because they made me want but there we are cooled by the price for a beach restaurant... we switch to pizzas at 18€. 1h30 to finally leave without being served! and when we went to the news with the server he announces that there are still 6 pizzas to be made before ours after 1:30 waiting. No one to offer us other things, never seen..."

"we are always looking for taste, quality, quantity, freshness, know-how and professionalism in this restaurant! dishes served at the same time as the aperitif while they are already prepared dishes! even for the beef tartar that should not already be prepared in advance, do not leave the choice to "buffer" the capers! The mussels have no taste... sauce? sock juice! what is " funny" is that to get the addition we waited for a moment!!! damage for the very smiling and very kind waitress who must take our thoughts! where are the managers who take on our discontent?! The waitress did well to pass the message to her manager who welcomed us with a big smile as if it would be enough to make us feel like we're going to have our dish! Finally, I advise you to pass your path you will earn your money because it is expensive and not good."
