I love this place, it's my favorite restaurant my mannes in angel! great, fresh tasting dinner that's cheap. house wine is also good, which is a bonus. they also make a good roast at the weekend. try to get a table on the window, it can be quite hot on the back. in any case worth a visit!

a sweet French bistro, with some excellent French cuisine. the French wobble soup was quite delicious. the wine to supplement the food was amazing. the nets were also fabulous. service was timely and not intrusive. ambiente was quite romantic and soft from a cozy little bistro in a village in France!

I absolutely adore this place! I first came here because I was craving mussels and they have a fantastic mussels special. You can have them as a starter for £6.20 or as a main course with chips for £9.95, which is a great deal considering how delicious they are and how generous the portions are. I tried the Moules Mariniere and they were excellent. For a starter, I had the Camembert Frit, which is topped with a red currant and raspberry sauce - a must-try for cheese lovers! The ambiance is charming, with an authentic French look featuring small tables, rustic chairs, and vintage French posters. Le Sacre Coeur is a charming French bistro located on a side street just off Upper Street. Its hidden location can make it easy to overlook, as Upper Street is home to many excellent restaurants that may distract you. The restaurant exudes an authentic atmosphere, playing upon traditional French stereotypes with its use of blue checkered tablecloths and vintage French film posters adorning the walls. This place has successfully managed to recreate the atmosphere and food of an authentic French bistro. My friend ordered beef bourginon which was beautifully cooked with tender meat and a side of buttery mash. I had the grilled salmon salad, a simple dish that consisted of salad leaves, grilled vegetables and a salmon fillet which was well seasoned and had a delicious dressing. Definitely come hungry as the portions are huge! The restaurant is well stocked with red and white wine, and you can order 500ml carafes which adds to the restaurants authentic appeal.
