"Food is good, beef fillet with foie gras was super tender and juicy. But service here was bad, we set in the upper floor and there was only one waiter serving the entire room. And we felt the discrimination: 1. the waiter left water bottles in every table except ours. 2. The waiter asked us ‘can we understand English’ before we ordered, that was rude cause we did speak to him in English before. 3. The waiter gave us the wrong main courses without any apologies. 4. The waiter kept us waiting for 20 minutes to pick up the bill. He kept serving other tables, pretending not to see that we were calling him. Again, food is nice here but the service needs to be improved."

Simply wonderful, great polite service and a superb selection of sandwiches and cakes, we had a lovely experience and good value we felt, beautiful venue with gorgeous decor, can’t recommend highly enough.

Such an ideal restaurant to celebrate a birthday with fine food (and especially the famous snails! , good selection of drink, and attentive but not intrusive service. And they even remembered to mark my birthday with a plate of two dark chocolates and a suitable greeting traced in what else chocolate. In a word: memorable. In another word, we'll be back.

Very poor service on a non busy time of day (half the tables in our room was empty). Long story short, they took away their service charge on our bill even before we said anything. Apart from the fact that they are the London’s oldest French restaurant, I don’t see why we will be returning. So much more better options out there. PS: concierge’s attitude whilst we enter was poor too. In addition, called us an hour after we arrived with an accusation tone of why we didnt turn up as per our booking. Ridiculous.

another big visit in l'esargot. looked for the first time before the restaurant, which was great to watch the coming rides of soho on a Saturday. the service was very good, just the right attention. Eat very well, one of the guests had lobster that was a little strange, seemed to be covered in a form of green marinade that the dinner was 't sure was detailed on the menu that they a little disappointed. has also brought a small birthday contract for the octogenarian who was a nice note. that will always use as my 'go to' restaurant for special soho dining
