These people manage to capture all the goodness and taste of authentic everyday Sicilian recipes and upgrade it fine dining. Excellent choice of local wines. Sightly more expensive than the area average, but well worth it.

Queste persone riescono a catturare tutta la bontà e il gusto delle autentiche ricette siciliane di tutti i giorni e ad aggiornarle per la ristorazione di alta qualità. Ottima scelta di vini locali. Leggermente più caro rispetto alla media della zona, ma ne vale assolutamente la pena.

We were in the area to visit a Greco teatre and stopped in town for lunch. The welcome was so warm and friendly we felt immediately at ease with our limited Italian. The wine list was varied and the menu was explained to us in detail. Porcini mushrooms were in season and were served beautifully in a pasta dish. My husband had a pasta dish that was served on a base of cream sauce flavoured with a local cheese. It was the highlight of the meal.

We stopped by on our way to Pantalica and enjoyed a perfect lunch: we shared the starter selection with meat (Degustazione prodotti della tradizione Iblea , which consists of 8 (in words, eight ! platters of delicious local specialties, both cold and warm (note that it 's 16 Euros for 2, not per person . Together with an equally enjoyable pasta dish, water and house wine we paid merely 34, Euros for both of us and had one of the best meals of our trip.

Ci siamo fermati sulla strada per Pantalica e abbiamo gustato un pranzo perfetto: abbiamo condiviso la selezione di antipasti con carne (Degustazione prodotti della tradizione Iblea, composta da 8 piatti deliziosi specialità locali, sia freddi che caldi (nota che sono 16 Euro per due, non a persona). Insieme a un piatto di pasta altrettanto gustoso, acqua e vino della casa abbiamo pagato solo 34 Euro in due e abbiamo avuto uno dei migliori pasti del nostro viaggio.

Siamo stati nella zona per visitare un teatro greco e ci siamo fermati in città per pranzo. L'accoglienza è stata così calorosa e amichevole che ci siamo subito sentiti a nostro agio nonostante il nostro limitato italiano. La lista dei vini era varia e il menu ci è stato spiegato in dettaglio. I funghi porcini erano di stagione e sono stati serviti magnificamente in un piatto di pasta. Mio marito ha ordinato un piatto di pasta servito su una base di salsa al gusto di formaggio locale. È stato il punto forte del pasto.

During our stay in Palazzo we went to this osteria twice. At our first visit we had the fishmenu, which was very very good and the antipastis were very innovative. As primi we had two half portions of ravioli and spaghetti with seashells, yummy. The second time we had the tagliatelle with the local tartufo. Very very good. The local tartufo is brown and not as fullbodied as the black tartufo. Go there and try it. The service and the food are just perfect. The price is very reasonable. Spaghetti with tartufo for 12€ is a good offer.

Abbiamo avuto un pasto fantastico qui, siamo venuti un po' fuori stagione e eravamo gli unici clienti, a parte un gruppo per festeggiare un compleanno. Abbiamo avuto un bellissimo pasto, antipasti di pesce incredibili seguiti da tagliatelle al tartufo e pasta ripiena di ricotta con salsa di pesce aromatizzata. Come dolce c'era un delizioso tiramisù alla pistacchio e un cannolo alla ricotta. Molto diverso da tutto ciò che avevamo mangiato nelle ultime due settimane in Sicilia, ma anche alcune delle migliori pietanze. Siamo stati accolti così bene, non solo dalla nostra ospite, ma anche dai cordiali locali che ci hanno gentilmente dato una torta di compleanno, lo consiglierei vivamente!

I ate here with my wife and two daughters in August 2018 on the recommendation of our our hosts at La Mela de Venere agriturismo. We arrived early for Italy 20:30 and the place was empty, so we were a little apprehensive. Absolutely no need to have been the food and service was amazing and by the time we left, at normal Italian eating hours, the place was full. There is a good choice of Sicilian specialities as well as pizza and pasta staples to keep the kids happy. If you want to try local wine you won’t be disappointed. Our host recommended a great local red for us to try. There is a lot of competition for your trade in Palazzolo de Acreide, but I’d definitely recommend giving this place a...
