"We went to Cafe Essence for my son's birthday. I was a bit put off by the steps as I have an issue with the muscles in my left leg but I managed. We were a party of 6 and were seated around the corner. The service was perfect with friendly, helpful staff. The food was excellent clean plates all round. The menu is not extensive but there was enough variety for all of us to have a choice. This includes my son who is vegetarian. I would highly recommend Cafe Essence to anyone and will definitely go again."

"A huge thank you to Suzie and Hannah for hosting our wonderful volunteers for afternoon tea on Sunday! Everything was incredible—from the table setting to the service and the food, it was all outstanding! We brought the leftovers to the office today, and everyone was amazed by how delicious it was. As a family, we often dine at 19 and have never had a bad meal, so we knew this was the perfect choice. It seems we’ll need to bring the staff here too! Thank you so much, Pam."

"My family group tried the taster menu with the wine flight at this restaurant on Saturday, and it was truly amazing! The flavors were explosive and each course was beautifully presented and delicious. The selected wines paired perfectly with the food, and I particularly enjoyed the Californian Viognier. The waiters were knowledgeable and friendly, making the whole experience fantastic. We spent nearly 5 hours enjoying the food and wine, and even my son who wanted a burger was catered to. The building has a lot of character as well. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"We had another fantastic meal at this restaurant! It is definitely worth the trip. The staff are very friendly and efficient, always making time for a chat and making us feel welcome. The prices are great and the portions are generous. We have tried three different items from the menu so far and they were all excellent. We appreciated the small cup of soup and wheaten bread to start. The chef deserves lots of praise. The atmosphere is cozy and overall we had a wonderful experience. We would give it a 10/10 recommendation. Ivan and Amy are such a credit to the place, they work so hard. Thank you for another lovely night."

"That's the first time we've visited this place and defo last time Saturday lunch time.. we were waiting 50 mins to get starters, and they were absolutely spot on...then 40 mins later main meal came in. Plater for two : smoked ribs,smoked brisket, and smoked half chicken. Well non of it was anywhere near smoker... just cooked meat without any flavour whatsoever, covered with bbq sauce... I'm not fussy when it comes to food but that was different level of putting clients away... seriously terrible taste. Maybe burgers r god but plz stay away from smoked meat"
